Title: Angry Mob card Special ability question
Post by: redemption collector 777 on December 31, 2014, 12:33:41 AM
Angry Mob SA: Discard a random character from each territory.

1. If the ability says "random" does this mean I can specifically choose one EC or Hero in my opponent's territory and one of my own to discard?

Random literally means random. Via some random method you select a character from each territory and discard them.

Most likely you'd just shuffle all characters in a given territory face-down and select one to discard.

I just make sure they are arranged in an order that rolling a die will randomly choose one (i.e. roll a d6 if there are 6 characters to choose from, or a d20 until I get a relevant number).

You can also set up a 6 by 6 grid and roll 2d6 if you happen to have 36 characters.

As long as it is actually random you have options, but you can't just pick one.  I prefer rolling dice, like YMT said, rolling a larger die than there are characters until I get a hit.  But there are other ways, and picking them up (while not as easy in T2) and randomly selecting one is certainly a good choice too.

Yeah I was thinking of T1 when I suggested the face-down shuffle, though that also is less viable in MP haha.
