Can King Abijam block King Abijam?
-
No

From the wiki: Many cards have the identifier “unique”. Characters are unique if they represent characters in the Bible with specific names, have “The” in the title of the character, or otherwise have a “unique” identifier on the card. All Fortresses, Artifacts, Curses, and Covenants are unique cards. Players may only control one of each unique card in his territory, set-aside area, or his side of battle. Different cards that represent the same character are also considered unique with each other, even if aspects such as the title, brigade, abilities, special abilities, card art or reference are different. (emphasis added)
If this is correct, then King Abijam can block another player's King Abijam.

It is correct, however you missed this part:
Duplicate Cards
No player may control duplicates of a unique character or cause them to fight each other. This includes unique characters in play, in battle, in a side battle, face down, or in a set-aside area.

I think the "Duplicate" rule prevents you from having your own duplicate characters fight each other (so you are putting two of your own unique characters into that battle), rather than fighting against another player's copy of your character. However, I'm willing to accept that my understanding may be incorrect.

Redoubter and Alex are correct. Similarly, you cannot block Paul with NT Saul, since they are the same unique person (even though their names are different). This has always been the standard in Redemption.

Redoubter, Alex, and YMT are correct. I believe it was JDS who had a favorite play back in the day of using a converted Uzzah, when Uzzah was commonly 1/5 of the defense of a deck.
