Title: A search question
Post by: 3-Liner And Bags Of Chips on December 06, 2010, 10:30:42 AM
I was playing a friendly game saturday and it the score was tied 4-4 and my opponent had half of the 2-liner rescued and I had sog/ny. This was the only ls out. If I play search, am I able to get a ls since it doesn't specify it didn't have to be a ls?

Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Green • Ability: 2 / 1 • Class: None • Special Ability: Search deck for a card and add it to hand. Cannot be negated if used by a prophet. • Play As: Search deck for any card [and place it in hand\. Cannot be negated if used by a prophet

You can search for a LS. I'm pretty sure there's a default condition that the LS goes to your territory when you do.

Yeah that's what i wanted so i could play sog on that ls and win the game. But would you draw another card for that ls?

It would make sense that you do.  I've used Susanna to pull out LS's, and drew to replace.

You actually don't get to draw to replace, since Susanna says "look" not draw. Just like you don't get to search for another card if you use Search to pull out an LS.

I lost to Gabe at Nationals because of Susanna searching for the 2-Liner...

I will never forget that game...

I pulled that in a friendly game once to win 5-0 since my opponent wasn't drawing LS's. Battle challenge Joel with HidTreas up, play Search, get LS, rescue. GG.

+1 Threads around here tend to degenrate into odd discussions.
