Captured Characters Count as a "lost soul"?

Are captured characters considered lost souls for the purpose of targeting a lost soul. I'm fairly sure they are due to the way burial has worked in the past. The question came up in a game with the following situation: Beast from the sea is in territory. N.T. evil character was captured. Opponent uses a good draw ability (i.e. Blood of the Lamb). can I top-deck the captured N.T. evil character?

Beast from the Sea: "Territory class. If an opponent uses a draw or search ability (except on an evil card) you may topdeck an N.T. Lost Soul. CBN if Red dragon or The False prophet is in play."

Blood of the Lamb: "Negate an evil card. If used by a martyr, you may draw 3. You may play an enhancement.

Captured humans are Lost Souls, captured non-humans are not.

If the opponent chose to draw, you can topdeck an N.T. captured human.

On a related note, do captured characters retain their brigade? Could they, say, be used by Noah to exchange?

They retain their brigade (which matters for Idols of Canaan as well), but they can't be used for Noah unless they're not LS.
