Title: 2 questions
Post by: sepjazzwarrior on May 22, 2010, 03:59:48 PM
1) does a healing enhancement remove something like destructive sin?

2) if im using a hormah site with philistine outpost in play, does jsut the lost soul go under deck.  looking at the wording on hormah, it puts the site and the contents under the deck, so if you just stop the site, wouldn't just the contents go under?

Philistine outpost: blah blah philistines blah.  Protect sites from being placed beneath deck.

Hormah: if your human EC is discarded, place this site and its contents beneath owner's deck

#1: Destructive sin is not a poison so I say no.
#2: Idk about #2. that's beyond my thinking ability.

i believe they made hormah's last clause a cost ability, so 'place this site under deck to place contents under deck'.

I vote no:

Quote
Sin
The special ability category of Poison and Diseases generally contains cards which slowly decrease the stamina of a character. However, a few cards exist that exemplify sin in the life of a character or some other restraining factor have the same effect as poisons and diseases. These can be treated like poison and disease cards. However, they cannot be targeted as a poison or disease (e.g., by Melchizedek, Miraculous Handkerchiefs, or Miracle of Healing).   The following cards fit this description:

•      Judah’s Sin, and Thorn in the Flesh

For a list of poisons or diseases, see also Poison or Disease.

its not worded like a cost ability, i would say #2 would fall under the "do as much as you can" rulings.  it says when an ED is discarded you can put 1) this site and 2) its contents beneath deck.  it uses the word "and" not "to", so it's not a cost ability from what i can see

They errata'd Hormah to make it a cost/effect ability. This was decided on soon after TexP came out; it was determined that it would be too powerful to be able to return LS's under deck with little to no cost (since Hormah would stay, and you could fulfill it's cost by discarding a generic Philistine from deck and recurring it).
