Title: 1. Ananias negate Nazareth to allow for search deck? 2. Can protect be negated?

1. Does Ananias of Damascus (Ap) negate Nazareth to allow for his search?

"Negate Sites. Once per game, you may search deck or discard pile for N.T. Saul, play and convert him. Protect Paul from opponents' cards while he is in territory. Cannot be interrupted."

2. In general, protect can be negated unless cbn correct? For example can Joseph's protection be negated with Covenant with Death?  Just wondering. Thanks for the clarification in advance!

1. First, that's the TEC version, not the Ap version. Second, Negate sites means it negates sites... Nazareth gets negated.

2. Yes protection can be negated unless it is CBN or CBIn.
