Congratulations to xCaLeBx, TheKarazyVicePresident and 777Godspeed for securing a spot in the playoffs in May! I will contact each shortly in order to get addresses to send prizes.

This is a league that will run with two halves. The first half was run from 10/1/2008 to 1/6/2009 (15 weeks). The second half will be from 1/14/2009 to 4/28/2009. Playoffs will be in May. The winners of each half will get a bye in the playoffs. Second place from the first half will play third place from the second half, and vice-versa. If a player has already qualified for the playoffs from the first half, then the next player in the standings from the second half will qualify.

So I guess the first question is, "What is Type NW?" It is both a deck-building and category version we started here in the NW. Here are the details:

Type NW deck-building
- Deck size is always 70 cards
- No dominants are allowed
- Type 1 deck-building rules apply for everything else

Type NW gameplay
- Games are allotted one hour; when one hour is reached, complete the current full turn
- Name-on-name bonus and Experience credit are both used

For league play, we will keep track of wins, losses and ties along with number of lost souls that are saved by both opponents.
- Wins = 4 points
- Ties = 2 points
- Losses = 1 point
- Total redeemed lost souls will be accumulated for all players during the season
- A player may play another player twice in a week maximum to count towards league results
- There is no limit to the number of different players you play as long as they are signed up for the league

As you can see by the point system, players are encouraged to actually play. A player with 5 losses will rank higher than a player with a win if those are the only games played. Since games are a full hour, there's a good chance there will be some 1-0 game scores and maybe some like 10-7. Who knows?

Prizes will go to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each half. Separate prizes will be given out for playoffs.

Pretty much everyone is eligible. I'm not sure why I still have the statement to "sign up". Anyone can play a NW game and count if I'm notified on this thread or a PM.

I finally got around to building a NW deck so I'd like to give it a try.

I won my first ever type NW game with Janissary 6-0. It was his first game too and his offense didn't work as well as he'd expected.

Had my best NW game yet against 777Godspeed. He completely exhausted my offense and defense. Good thing for me that time ran out! I won 5-3.

I would love to join but my comp is giving me loads of probems with RTS and Hmachi (sp?) if i could use aim and everyone would be ok with that i will join but other wisse i will keep working on fixing my problems and join hen ready.

In perhaps my most enjoyable game in recent memory, I tied Godspeed. 0-0. My offense was missing one of its most vital cards, and he could not beat my defense. It was epic, full of good battles.

Played Janissary in a grueling game that ended in a 0-0 tie. It was a great game that we both enjoyed tremendously.

777Godspeed and I had a really close game. I won 4-3 but it could have gone either way since it was back and forth. No one had more than a 2 lost soul lead.

Raven and I just played a good game. I was up 5-4 going in to the last turn and time ran out on my turn. We finished it out and I got another ls, but Andy wasn't sure if that should be counted or not. I'll let you guys decide.
