We all know that in Redemption in order to play the game you must talk to your opponent and for me it is difficult to focus on my game when I am constantly typing. I have found a solution!
Skype http://skype.com (http://skype.com)
On Skype you can talk to each other for free!
Here is my Skype name: matthew7785
If you want to be my contact either PM me or post on this thread
Please tell me what you think.
Votes for program:

gTalk: 1

The problem with Skype is that there is no way to make a "room" or group. We would need a constantly updated list with everyone's ID. In addition, you would have to individually become contacts with everyone.
But, it would work ok. Combine it with RTS, and I guess it would be interesting.

I will take the responsibility.

Yeah, but I have only 3 contacts so I wouldn't mind.

Hey,
You can also do a voice chat on gTalk, google's IM program.
Tschow,
Tim "Sir Nobody" Maly
-
That would probably work better. I like the idea. :) You can also do the chat straight from Gmail, without needing to install gTalk the program.
-
So do you guys want to use that instead?
-
well, not everyone uses gmail. Let some others post their ideas.

Everyone should.

+1, but that's besides the point. ;)

AIM can do audio & video chat...
-
And what if people( like me) don't have a mike?
-
Use telepathy.
-
Ok eveybody vote for what you want to use.
-
Skype is awesome, so I would vote for that if we want something to talk to each other.
However, none of these programs will do what Hamachi does regarding helping people get through firewalls to be able to connect to one another.
-
Ventrillo/Teamspeak would be perfect in addition to Hamachi. When I get some spare money I'm going to buy a server.
-
I edited my first post to show the votes
-
Ok you guys the voting has ended (since I got only two votes) the winner is: Skype.
If you sill want to vote go ahead
Oh and Kyp Henderson I thought about it, you have two options:
1: You get phone numbers and you call them.
2: You buy a mic
Edit: If you want to do this "talk with out typing" thing, tell me your Skype name and I'll post it on the first post.

I'll bet Redemption Live will have live chat capabilities.

I bet Mike wants it, but voice chat is really bandwidth intensive. I bet it is either a "pro" feature. If not, that would be awesome though.

I vote gtalk. My email is ninja.of.lightning@gmail.com.

We need a solution that everyone uses. Then we won't have a problem similar, but much bigger than Hamachi and all its networks.
MP had a good idea, I would like to hear more about it. :)
