Title: The Guardian’s T2 Challenge – Win Your Choice of UR!
Post by: The Guardian on January 07, 2019, 03:42:10 PM
With online games a bit sporadic recently, (especially T2), I am going to hold a little contest.

I am looking to play up to 10 T2 games in the next month or so. Here are the details:

*Each challenger who completes a T2 game with me either on Lackey or in person will receive one entry in a drawing to win an UR of their choice from RoJ, FoM or PoC (phase 1).

*For each Redeemed Soul a challenger has at the end of the game, that player will receive one additional entry into the drawing (meaning a total of eight entries if that challenger wins).

*Time limit for each game will be discussed and agreed upon before each game.

*There will be a total of 80 possible entries—any entries unclaimed will count as entries for me. (For example, if all 10 games are played and I win 7-5 in every game, then there would be 60 “challenger” entries—6 entries from each game—and 20 entries for myself).

*There will be a limit of 3 games and 20 entries per challenger. Challengers who play three games must use a different deck in at least one of the games.

*Depending on my availability, I may allow challengers to improve their scores. (For example, if I win the first three games against a challenger 7-1, 7-2, 7-3, but I have time for another game with that challenger, they would have the opportunity to beat their lowest score). However, first priority for games will be for challengers who haven’t yet reached 3 games.

*Winning entry will be drawn during this year’s annual T2 Only tournament (hoping to have information on that coming out soon).

If you have questions or are interested in participating, please comment below or send me a PM. I will try to post times when I know I will be available a day or two in advance.

Hit me with your best shot!  8)

Hoping to have a February tournament scheduled for Lakeville soon...official tournament games would also count towards this challenge.  8)

I love the idea and ambition, just online games take so long in type 2 and I have a bad laptop for Lackey. Hopefully I’ll be at Delta in a month or two and can fly up for some tournaments.

Time can definitely be an issue for online T2, but to that point I am willing to agree on a reasonable time limit. That's one reason I made the entries based on LS rescued--if you want to do a 90 minute limit, that's cool with me, but you would be giving up the opportunity to earn more entries.  ;)

First challenge game was tonight!  8) I defeated Kram 7-1...he made a great play that could have made it a much closer game, but I drew the exact card I needed on my turn and my offense kept rolling.

This encouraged me to figure out Lackey and get it on the computer.

It looks to be up and I loaded a T2 deck I am working on. Played around a little to figure out the controls. As long as you can be patient with a first game, I am ready.

Is there a night over the next few days that would work for you?

PM me.

Another challenge game is in the books -- goalieking87 and I played a good match where we both had the same base offense and defense brigades, but very different strategies.  8)

I wouldn't be surprised if it happens soon...the upcoming matches on the schedule are against Xonathan and TheJaylor.  8)

Well not only did Xonathan get more than 3, he pulled off the slimmest of victories, 7-6... :o

Kicking myself a bit because I made one misplay in the final battle that cost me what would have been a 7-6 win in my favor after I made a pretty big comeback...
