Someone brought up a good point to me....you may see others in our tourney on Hamachi while waiting for your challenge to be accepted.  If you can get in a quick game and not affect your challenge then this on-the-spot challenge is okay.
For example, since Caleb challenged Godspeed but can't play until Saturday (even though there is a 3 day limit  ;) )  Godspeed can play in a different challenge because it wouldn't affect Caleb's challenge.
Another Example:  My challenge with Tim ended (we had set a time up to play), Gabe was on last night.  Gabe is waiting on RDT.  Gabe and I could legally play each other if our challenge didn't affect his challenge with RDT.
I will change the rules to allow On-the-Spot Challenges.  I just want this to be fun for you guys.  I'm trying to make it fair for everyone--> allowing for a balance for those who are on "some of the time" and those who are on "all the time".

Challenge accepted XCaLeBX. Saturday will not be the best day for me as I'm hosting a Local tournament that day. Other than that, we should be able to get the game in at most anytime. You can PM the best time for you if you like.

In the second Genesis v. Genesis showdown in a row, I was able to defeat Alex (Janissary) 5-3 in an "on the spot" challenge. Why do people keep associating me with Genesis? ;)

I was just making sure the deck was ship-shape. And it is, unless you let your opponent draw like 7 cards in one battle and then lose that battle.

I was able to defeat New Raven in an "on the spot" challenge (5-2) thanks to RTS failing to let him draw more than 1 EC (who got AotL'd).  I look forward to playing him again when he gets a more fair shuffle from RTS.

Played Soul Seeker the other day and it was quite dismal for me. I was was thinking to myself, this is gonna be a blast. It was the first time Soul Seeker and I had faced off, so I was hoping to give him a run for  his money. Long story short, OK it really isn't a long story and the game was quite short. I think I drew 3 or 4 lost souls right off the bat, and by the 2nd or 3rd round (if I am remembering correctly) Soul Seeker has Jacob+Something something Egypt back in his territory and walks in for the LSs and the game. My Egyptians were pwned.
Now off the record, we switched decks and played an unofficial game and the roles were reversed. That happens, but all in all it was good fun and some lessons were learned, at least by me. I am enjoying this style of play and look forward to playing everyone currently signed up and those who will be signing up.

Godspeed,
Mike

Hey Godspeed,
If it makes you feel any better...my luck turned for the worse in my next couple of games.  I was the one bleeding Lost Souls and not getting the cards I needed. On another note, we have played before, but it was like 5 months ago.

Unfortunately Janissary and I have been unable to play.  He had to take off when I arrived on Tue, and wasn't around on Wed or Thur either.  I got to play with some other people but missed playing him.  I'm willing to give him more time, but if we can't match up by the end of the week he agreed to give me the 2 pts and him the 1pt.

I should be around late tonight so hopefully we'll still get to play :)

Wow. I'm sorry but I don't remember. All the dismal stompings run together in my head.   ;D   I won't forget from now on unless I don't remember.  ;)

Does this mean that I can legally challenge Prof Underwood?  If yes then I do!  Finally, someone that hasn't maxed out this week that's actually online sometimes!!!  :)

That's a tough call, I"ll leave that to Mark, because Janissary would make his 3rd game...he can forego the 2 points and accept your challenge at the benefit of 3 or detriment of 1.  The ball is in Mark's court.  The time has elapsed but I can't give points for both a real game and a forfeit.  Mark it truly is your decision.  Just let me know what you decide.  If you decide to play Gabe, then Janissary will not be "punished" in anyway.  He will not be charged a game of 0 by forfeit.

Ok, count me in.

As far as people who want to challenge me, make my life easier and avoid scheduling for mondays and wednesdays, though it wont kill me if you do.  :P

I appreciate the challenge Gabe, but I think I'll have to play you next week :)  I am still hoping to get that game in with Janissary before the week is out, and I think it sets a bad precedent if I just pretend like that challenge was never made.  I don't want to do that as our tournament is just getting off the ground.

However, Gabe can have first dibs challenging me next week.  In spite of the fact that he beats me most of the times we play I always look forward to games with him :)

Yep, that was a frustrating one as neither defense ever had a successful stop and the entire game came down to who drew available LSs.  However, Janissary played well and deserved the win.
