Hello everyone! It has been positively ages since a viable Redemption tournament has been held online outside of hosting on Zoom. I'm out to change that with the LackeyCCG Grand Prix!
The format is as follows:
Four rounds of Swiss Style Play, regular tournament rules apply with one concession to Lackey, which is a longer time limit. 1:30 time limit instead of :45.
Rotation Format Only
You can change decks between rounds instead of having to play a select few.
Unplayed games are considered a draw (if ghosting proves a problem, this will change).
Pairings go up Sunday nights at 9:00 PM EST. Deadline for games is 7:00 PM EST Sunday nights.
*This means that the tournament is not centered on one day! You have an entire week to play *one* game!
Prizes are a possibility, based on participation and interest level. *Stay Tuned*

This is intriguing to me. When will the first round start up?
Trying to figure out if I can do this with my upcoming work schedule.

Given the participation, would anyone be opposed to starting the 26th of December? That would knock out most of the holiday gatherings and give people in school 2-3 pressure free weeks. *groans in grad school*

I am also fine with this but will not be able to play all of the days of that week most probably. But need to find matching slots with all other players anyway from my side in terms of time difference.

After hearing from a couple of people, I've decided to begin play January 2nd. Pairings will go up January 1, so you get extra time the first week. For clarification, you play one game per week, with the tournament lasting four weeks.
Given our participation levels, we will play a single elimination top four cut after four rounds of play. Details for that portion of the tournament will be announced following round four.
