We are initiating this thread in the hopes that other states follow suit.

We encourage those who have time to do it to organize regular Redemption gaming demos at gaming stores near you. Of course other venues are likewise perfect. Post pics if possible.

Calling on fellow Texans to post your demos, one post at a time per demo date, using the following format:

COMMENTS: A very promising venue. Successful night. Gaming hall is huge (260 seating capacity). Most gamers play YGO, few play MTG.

Per my experience everywhere there are gaming stores, they are the easiest to set up demos with. Simply approach the manager. At least one gaming store in your area will welcome you with open arms. Gaming stores love to see demos for all games offered at their stores for free. PM me or uthminister if you want comprehensive ideas and procedures. We need to chat on the phone though for easier info sharing.

COMMENTS: Hugely successful night. 1st starter deck purchase from store by a Pokemon card player. Huge help from couple of players (Chris/Hannah G.)

COMMENTS: Store sold some $4 & &5 packs. Tonight is a MTG new card release night. It will be a long, tiring, happy demo night. LOL I guess some passersby misinterpreted our sign that said ' FREE DEMOS AND CARDS'. We were displaying sealed starters and sealed boxed packs -- some curious players took 1 sealed half of a starter deck and 1 sealed TxP pack. I'm sure it was a misinterpretation of the sign. But for me it is a great sign and blessing that people are getting really interested. I am sure that seeds were planted in the hearts of the 'free' card takers.

I think the dates on your last 2 demos are supposed to be 4/13 and 4/20 (the past 2 Fridays as opposed to a month ago).

Tonight was hugely successful. We had some great interest! It was a blessing and an honor. The Lord is pouring it out on us Roy!

When Hannah and I get back from our honeymoon in May we will resume helping with the demos.

Quick update: I am going to try and head to a different local game store tonight to do a little "I play some magic with you, and then I get to show you some Redemption". It may not happen at all, but a little prayer would be great!

The banners and signs are excellent examples of how to run a demo. Wow, takes notes. Great job!

@Jon, I think I spent only $20 for the vertical banner thru an eBay seller who does custom banners. As for the demo info board, dirt cheap $3 brown school project board, $5 black spray paint to 'paint the board black', + literal cut and paste for lettering and info printouts, a few interesting staple cards. That's it!

Here's a link to the banners from the Tourney Central thread. that I had custom-made. The posters - I got them from Cactus tho I am not sure if they still stock them.

COMMENTS: Slow night as YGO players prepare for their Regionals tomorrow. However, more serious new players had a few practice games and are planning to attend Regionals in Tomball. A new viewer mentions his dad gave him a starter deck when he was a kid. He will learn the game next week. God is good!

COMMENTS: Right about that time we were teaching a couple of MTG players the game, a surprise visit (see thumbnails) came from none other than the regional director of the Royal Rangers for the whole South Central US region (Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Kansas). His story of getting into the game is a whole amazing testimony to tell. He learned the game for the first time formally tonight (Thank you Chris G & Canten!). The rest is amazing history about to unfold for Redemption for the Royal Rangers of South Central and beyond! Thank you for a blessing us with your presence Mr. Ken P.!
