Title: Turn Off Filesharing
Post by: RTSmaniac on December 20, 2010, 11:10:22 AM
Finally, if you are going to use Hamachi for gaming, which means you’re going to be opening up your virtual LAN to other people, be sure to take proper precautions.  Allowing someone access to your Hamachi network is the same as letting them plug into your home LAN.  Turn off filesharing, or at least password protect everything.  Turn on the firewall on the Hamachi network interface.  And for your sake, don’t share your pr0n folders!

I posted this because I noticed that my filesharing was turned on and that people could access my hard drive from Hamachi by simply hitting browse on my name on Hamachi.

PLEASE!PLEASE!PLEASE! turn your filesharing off people.

click on
Start/Control Panel/Network Connections/Hamachi
right click
hit Properties
uncheck box for filesharing
