The rules for challenges will be mostly similar to before, but you are now able to challenge anyone you haven't played in an official game, and you can also challenge people who challenged you earlier in the month. This is so there should always be at least one person available for you to challenge every week. Each person can still only be challenged once per week.
In order to issue or accept a challenge, post on this thread, and PM your opponent to set up a time to play. Make sure to check this thread to ensure that your challenge is valid. A valid challenge for a certain week will be listed as "X Challenges Y" under the heading for that week. A challenge that still needs to be accepted will be highlighted in bold. See below for an example.
Week 4 Challenges must be made by Thursday, January 27th 11:59 PM PST to be valid
X Challenges Y--This challenge is valid and still needs to be accepted by Y.
Q Challenges R--This challenge is valid and has been accepted by R.
Week 4 Challenges:
Challenge Availability: Because of the way ROOT was set up this month, I will be opening challenges for everyone to challenge anyone EXCEPT this week's Swiss pairing. The Challenge system will be updated for next month because of some of the problems it had, so for now, you can challenge anyone except for someone who has been already challenged this week and the person you are playing in your Swiss game. So for this week you can ignore the challenge table, just look at the list of challenges made and your pairing to see who you can't challenge.

Unfortunately I'm not sure you can challenge anyone because the only people who have not been challenged are myself and Prof A. -- who happen to be the two participants you challenged in Week 1 and 2... ???

Yeah, it seems the major flaw in the system has finally been exposed.
Is there anyone willing to accept two challenges this week, especially people RTSM hasn't played in an official game this month? If not, I'll probably be forced to give you a Challenge Bye (3 pts, 0 LS differential) and the ROOT leadership will adjust the system to avoid this scenario.
If you have already been challenged this week, but wouldn't mind accepting an additional challenge from RTSManiac, please post here or let him know. Like other challenges, it will be worth bonus points to the challengee.

I don't mind playing him again in a challenge. There could be a rule that you cannot challenge the same person twice unless all other players have already been challenged.
