That's right it's back, and it will be starting back up in one week on 8/19, so sign up here if you want to participate. The number of rounds will be determined by the number of participants, and each round will last one week.
You must have Lackey and the Redemption plugin to participate.

I think we'll go with the old 2-hour time limit Root had had, unless there is significant call for shorter time limits. I hope players let me know what they think of time limits for future ROOTs as they play this ROOT.

I think 45 might be a little short, since using lackey is a little slower than in person. Maybe 1 hour?

45 minutes has always been generally regarded as too short, as there are certain abilities that take more time online than in person. However, that was back in RTS days, Lackey might make some of those things easier (i still have yet to use it very often). Still, I'd probably say that an hour time limit is probably better initially, and it could be modified as needed for future tourneys. But I'll leave that to the lobster to determine.

Root is a commitment to one game a week right? If that's what it is I am in next month. Too much crazy stuff to get any scheduled games in this week or next.

I think either an hour or an hour and 15 min would be best.

So far, 4 people have commented that they support shorter time limits, of 7 current participants. Do the other 3 have a preference? I myself would be fine putting it at an hour time limit, and was just using the old 2 hour time limit because that is what ROOT had used.

I'd say if shorter, do an 1 1/4-1 1/2 hour. but I think that using the 2 hour for this month to get a feel for time needed in general would be a good idea.

The last time ROOT went an Ironman style, about 2 games total that month got played, so I don't think it is best to do that here.
