Hey ya'll, been out of the game for awhile, so trying to catch up here.

Star cards only trigger during first draw of 8 or 3 for first turn? Not on additional drawing throughout the turn?

Unity is always own and control? So if I own a card that would otherwise stop my unity, but my opponent took it from me, then my unity would be online since I no longer control the card?

For the meek heroes, several special abilities say to "do something to convert this character to meek" then there is a period and another ability. If you use the first portion of the ability and convert to meek, then you cannot activate the second portion?

Yes.

Yes.

No. Converting to meek does not stop the rest of the ability.

Also, don't forget, at the beginning of the game, star abilities activate before LS abilities.

That's actually true the entire game - anytime you draw by game rule, you put down LS until you have the correct number of cards, then you can do stars, then you do any LS you drew.

Sorry one more question.

Curses and covenants can be targeted as artifacts? They are just artifacts with alignments?

While at face value (in hand, deck, discard pile, Reserve, banish pile), Curses and Covenants can be targeted as Artifacts or (their appropriately aligned) Enhancements. Once played as one or the other, they cannot be targeted by the other - so if you play a Covenant as an Enhancement in battle, it can't be targeted as an Artifact. They can always be targeted as Covenants or Curses.
