Banned Cards

Redemption has been remarkable in that of all those CCGs I played starting in 1993 (Year zero for Magic the gathering), only Redemption and Star Wars- among the major games- had no cards that were banned.  Ever.  But I realize there was a need to ban a small number from Redemption recently.  My questions are:
1.  Is there a list of banned cards in the Exegesis book or the big glossary/dictionary, or anywhere?  I'd like to get a copy to add to my rules.
2.  What is that Lost Soul card that was banned?  I looked it up in the Three Lions index, but couldn't find it.  The code name started with "L" but I don't recall it off hand.  But if someone could let me know which set it's from and what its effect is, I'm pretty sure I can find it.
Thanks again.

1. There is not an official list of banned cards, because it consisted of 1 card (basically) a month ago and the rules documents haven't been updated since then.

The current list of banned cards:
Lost Souls (2-liner)
Lost Souls (3-liner)
Samuel (RA2) (the one that searches for David/Saul, draws and bands)
Mourn and Weep (PoC)

2. The Lost Soul card that was banned is named Lost Souls (plural, not singular) - it comes in 2 versions, named the 2-liner and the 3-liner because of how much space the ability takes on the card. They're both from the Limited/Unlimited/Original set, I'm not sure how it's referred to on Three Lions.

Usually the souls, prior to being given actual nicknames, went by the scripture reference for retailers. The reference for the liners is Prov. 22:14.

@pinkfloyd For future reference, if you need to look up a card by card name, card type, special ability, brigade, etc, feel free to use my site. The site is very user friendly and has many search options. Here’s a link to give you an example of how you can search. If you type in any part of a special ability (or the name of the card, or course) in the search bar, it will give you the options. The drop down list is a way to search by card type, set, etc.

HUh- why was Lost Souls banned? I've had it since '95 or thereabouts...hate to lose it.

There were several reasons why that decision was made and I'll try my best to summarize the two most important ones.

First, the playtest/design team found that they were restricting our ability to create new abilities and interactions because we always had to account for how the new cards would interact with the Liners. Because the Liner LS was so drastically different from other LS, it affected how new cards were made (case in point -- some cards referred specifically to the Liner LS as an exception to their ability). Now the Liners aren't the only card like that, but that leads me to the other major reason.

Second, the Liners were beginning to warp the meta. Due to an increasing number of cards that could put the Liners back in the deck (which "reset" them), so many games were being decided just based on who could draw their Liner and then reset it more times. Having a card game revolve around one specific card is not healthy for any game.

I used to be one of the biggest proponents of not having any cards banned, but I have come to realize that sometimes letting a card go is best for the game overall. Also, please know that we discussed many times if a potential errata could solve the problems that the Liner was causing, but it just wasn't meant to be.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?
