Title: About Generic Cards

I've pretty much got the gist of deck-building--if a card does anything good, you can have one of 'em.  I know--if the deck's big enough one could get more but that hasn't proven a wise strategy for me.  But generic cards have me a little confused.  There are several cards that specifically say "may band with Elders of Jerusalem, Angry Mob (I think), etc., and the card is banding to another copy of itself.  Is there a general/generic rule that if a card has generic as a modifier, you can have 3 of them?  Or is it 4?  Even though they aren't "meek"---Fire Foxes, a whole bunch of animals, Saducees...all are generic, and I just wondered if there's a fixed number of them you can have in a deck, or do some cards change the rules and say you can have more than other generic cards.  Legion and Obsidion Minions come to mind.

For generic characters, different art = different card. So Angry Mob, Elders of Jerusalem, Pharisees and Sadducees can get multiple in a standard T1 deck, since they have 3-4 different arts.

Some cards have an identifier on them that overrides the deckbuilding rules, like Legion, Angry Mob, or Locust from the Pit.

Other cards that band to themselves, like Absalom's Soldiers, are limited to 1 per deck in T1 since they don't have different art. Those are more intended for T2, where you can have up to 4 in a standard deck.
