Title: Shipwreck
Post by: Josh on July 02, 2015, 11:57:21 PM
I have one that I might consider moving.  I'll entertain offers.  If anyone offers Evil Sacrifices + The False Prophet, it's yours.

Just FYI, in the future you may want to leave that last part open-ended, since you could have gotten more offers. In fact, TLG website has a "Buy List" page where he was offering $40 in trade for Shipwreck, but Evil Sacrifices and The False Prophet are only $15 each. Hopefully you still got the other $10 in trade out of it somehow. However, you likely would have had a bidding war and took in a lot more than you got. Just my  :2cents: .   ;)

In my time away it seems that the trade market has been shipwrecked and there is no love.

Well, I can definitely see that you are correct, I should have kept things open-ended  :D  I knew Evil Sacrifices and The False Prophet were both $20 on TLG and Shipwreck $40, and those TEC URs are so hard to find, I actually wasn't expecting anyone to take me up on the offer.   Congrats to Travis for taking advantage of this apparently one-sided trade - I'll keep my word and not demand a bidding war  :)

I knew Evil Sacrifices and The False Prophet were both $20 on TLG ...

I'm pretty sure that was the 1st edition versions. The later versions are on TLG for $15. Did you mean 1st edition, because I didn't get that impression from your post.

... and those TEC URs are so hard to find...

Shipwreck has been particularly scarce, though, compared to the others. I have seen several people offer the others. Also note that Shipwreck can go in any deck, while the other two are only for specific themes, thus the demand will be greater. Whoever gets a Shipwreck will hoard it, while people that get the others but do not use orange will likely trade them away if the price is right.

Congrats to Travis for taking advantage of this apparently one-sided trade - I'll keep my word and not demand a bidding war  :)

We appreciate you being a man of your word, and I know Travis was not trying to make it one-sided. Timing is everything, they say, so posting at midnight worked against you too.  ;D

I was just giving my advice for future reference, as well as for others that see this and are thinking about trading their Shipwreck (I'll take it!).  ;)

Don't worry, I still have one that I won't trade  ;)
