Selling entire Redemption Collection
« on: August 23, 2011, 09:27:15 AM »

Greetings!

I just got back from a 2 year missionary trip and came back engaged. As I prepare for getting married, I was rummaging through my old boxes and found my Redemption collection. Back in the day, I used to be an active player, including going to a tournament. I've got close to 400 or more cards and lots rare and ultra rare cards. I really stopped playing after the Apostles. Most of my collection includes Limited, Unlimited, Prophets, Women, Warriors, and Apostles. I also have a tournament participant only card and the C/D started deck. Out of these expansions, I have most of the best stuff from them.

Anyways, I will soon be putting all them on ebay for just $50 and they range from "used" to "excellent" condition. I will also include a card list so people know what they are buying but considering how many hard to grab older cards are in this, its a solid deal.

I will post the ebay link soon but just wanted to see if there was in fact a market and potential for someone wanting to buy up my collection.

There is certainly a potential for people wanting to buy them, but I might sell them here on boards instead of eBay.

I dont use PayPal cause I dont use credit cards. I'd accept a check and do a standard delivery as soon as the check cleared. Or cash would work also.

May I also mention that if someone just makes my day and gets the high bid at $100 or more, I'll toss in the original Mission CCG started + maybe a booster or two

Just out of curiosity, what is your plan for shipping? I intend my bid to include that, so that if I were to win, $70 would be all that I would send you, not $70 + s/h. Let me know, thanks!

I would mail through regular mail, standard shipping, and yes, I accept the shipping to be inclusive in bid. That alright.

I would guess that these cards would get around $65 + shipping, so $70 seems to be a good offer.

Yea, I was going to say anywhere from $55-$65 would be fair. And I know if you package right, you can fit about 420 cards in a small priority flat rate box for $5 shipping

PS- Since you just registered, unless a more experienced member on the board knows you/can confirm your identity, the buyer may require you to send cards first (assuming they have established themselves as a trusted trader.

Using check/cash/money order/paypal-personal can always be sticky because they make it easy to get ripped off (not to say you are not to be trusted). We've just had a few "mishaps" lately on the boards, so I encourage good communication. Exchanging a phone number for example...

Contact aint a problem but Im not mailing anything until I see a cleared check, cash, or whatever. Otherwise, I will go to the hassle of ebay which seller doesn't ship until payment is received. Either way, any transaction will be between consenting adults and I aim to both gain and give trust to whoever the highest bidder is by tomorrow.

Just time to clear out the boxes of old things in my basement and see if someone is willing to trade my pieces of paper with Bible people on it for their pieces of paper with Presidential people on it...well...Benjamin and Hamilton weren't presidents but ya get the point.

The benefit of ebay is ability to leave feedback and buyer/seller protection. However, I'll let you sell how you want. I just thought I'd post some pointers/info :)

Im gone after I sell. I only created this account to sell these cards. I googled to see how to sell the cards and ebay and this marketplace came up. I chose the one that I don't have to enter bank info online. Here to give someone the opportunity to give my collection more attention than I have the past 6-7 years and to make some cash for me and my fiance.

Plus...I liked the Mission way better than Redemption. What a shame that game never took off.

Congrats to Professoralstad for winning the bid with $70. No new offers will be accepted. I just PM'd you with details and thoroughly believe you will enjoy all your getting. I completely was off in saying 400. Its actually 610 cards give or take a few with only 29 of them being lost souls.
