Looking For A Newer Group To Give Free Cards To

FREE CARDS!!!!

Yep.  You read right.  There is a slight catch at the end so make sure you read it all.

I have a huge box of cards (HUGE) with thousands of cards in sorted order in it and I am sorting through hundreds of unsorted cards to fill my binders and place the extras in their correct sorted place.  Since I have a huge amount and a very small playgroup, I have decided to only keep five extras of each card (not including the one card in the binder).  The rest of them, I want to give them away to a group of people who are just starting and don't have much cards to make decks out of.  Though you will not be able to make top notch "lets go win Natz with these cards" decks, you will be able to make a few good decks to play each other (i.e. make fun decks that you usually don't see at tournaments but are a thrill to play against each other).  I know how expensive it can be to get a good collection of cards to make multiple decks and since I have a lot of cards, I would love to help another group out.

So what's the catch, you ask?  Well, the catch is that I would like you to pay for the shipping.  Right now, I have two or three sandwich bags full of cards and I still have to go through apostles, warriors, unlimited/prophets, and all the starter decks.  I will try to put them into a flat rate box so save money.

Also, there is another catch.  Though these cards will be great to make multiple decks, I will not be able to spare any dominants or lost souls (I will try to count out enough for five more decks for myself and if I have extras then, I will send what I have (don't hold your breathe though)).  With these cards, it's best if you buy a starter box and then use these cards to expand them into your own creation.

I will try to finish it in a week or two so you can receive them in mid July.

Please reply/message me only if you have just the basics.

God Bless

You can always send them to me I can get them into the hands of some other people.  Obviously if someone wants them and you would rather do it that way it is totally fine!  But check out my thread and let me know your thoughts!

I'll wait until I finish sorting and if no one has said anything, then I'll send them your way. I'm trying to finish by next saturday but no guarantees.

Hi Ironica, I'm new to Redemption (been playing about a month now) and would really appreciate some cards if you're willing. I looked through the Redemption card list and was interested in making a deck out of purple, gold (hero), crimson, and pale green brigades, but any cards would be great! I'm a teacher at a Christian school and would like to share Redemption with the students - I think they would really enjoy playing. I know that I do!

I would be happy to pay for shipping...would it be through Paypal? Thanks again!!! This is so nice of you!

They are yours then.  Right now, I have over three sandwich bags full of cards (estimating 100 cards each (but then I’m bad at estimating by looks :P (I can give you a better estimate when I get home tonight))) as of now and will probably have the fourth one filled by the time I’m done.  This past weekend, I realized that I had three tins full of original/prophet cards that I’m not going to bother putting into binders (since I will probably not spend the time trying to collect them all like the newer sets).  I have also started only keeping three copies of cards without special abilities so that will add some more for you.  I will also see if I can spare a couple of the promo Windows Of Narrow Light (Protect your Heroes with no special ability from capture, conversion, and removal from the game) to help you out with making decks with non SA heroes.   I also came across a large stack of lost souls so I will send you some as well (how many is uncertain right now as I am putting together two T2 decks and need at least twenty-eight beyond that so I can make four more decks for my playgroup).  I will also see if I can spare some lost souls with special abilities so you can have some in each deck.  I am trying to get all my sorting done by the end of the week so I can send them out early next week.

As for payment, whichever way you want to do it.  PM me your address.  I hope these cards will help you out as you teach others about The Holy Bible through Redemption.

God Bless

I'm also a teacher at a Christian school.  Where are you located?  Maybe we could have a playgroup vs. playgroup competition after you've got your guys up to speed :)

I think your school size may be a bit too small for Div1 competition.  However, I'm sure that you'll get the chance to beat up on several members of my playgroup at EC Regs :)

That sounds cool! I feel like I have so much to learn myself before I'll be a good teacher of Redemption, but we're in Iowa, in North Liberty. How about you?

Iowa, in North Liberty.

I'm assuming you already know Gabe Isbell, else this is just happy coincidence. On the offchance that it is coincidence, Gabe runs a fairly sizable playgroup in North Liberty, and is one of the best players and hosts in the game. His member name is Gabe.

I do know Gabe! I go to the same church as him - I have never played with his group though, but would like to. I was introduced to the game by someone that plays with him.

Jesse, I just sent you a PM. We'd love to have you join us for one of our Redemption gatherings. I also have lots of cards to give away and sell. Just ask anyone in the area that plays. We have a lot of fun and look forward to having you join in!
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

Unfortunately, we're really far away (Eastern KY).  Maybe someday we could meet somewhere in between (like around the IN/IL border on I-74) at a state park or something :)

Agreed - that would be great! (it's really cool how Redemption is national!)

I'm a teacher at a Christian school and would like to share Redemption with the students - I think they would really enjoy playing. I know that I do!

I used to teach at a Christian school in Connecticut, and I started a gaming club that later migrated to just Redemption. We averaged 20 players per week. The principal visited the club a few times and really felt it helped reach students that were not involved in other extracurricular activities. He ended up giving our club a stipend that I used to buy supplies. He also gave us permission to use the school's bus to transport students to tournaments. I don't know what your school's budget is like, but it never hurts to ask.  ;)

That's awesome, YourMathTeacher! That would be sweet if the same happened at our school :)
