Post by: Egyptian on August 05, 2011, 01:40:25 PM
Howdy All

Well, after 5 years, I'm getting out of Redemption...been a great ride and it's been a privilege to be in the game with all of you.

I'm putting my collection up for sale.

Lots of rares and ultra-rares, including:

Pithom
Thirty Pieces of Silver
Wall of Protection
John Promo
Chariot of Fire
Pentecost
Ark of the Covenant
Three Nails
Chariot of Fire
Joseph in Prison

Authority of Christ (P)
Chastisement of the Lord
Helmet of Salvation
Everlasting Beings
Thorn in the Flesh
The Name of the Lord
Pierced Heart
Ordained as a Disciple
Gates of Jerusalem
Water to Wine
Moses and Elders
Burial Shroud
King David
Frog Demons
Michael (OT, WC)
A Child is Born
Esther
Nicanor
Battering Ram
Faith in our High Priest
Love at First Sight
Satan's Folly
Zerubabbel
Failed Objective
Wrath of Satan
Brass Serpent

Bartimaeus
Jairus
Haman
Panic Demon (II Timothy 1:7)
Siegeworks
Windows of Narrow Light
Casting Lots
Shobach
Wings of Calamity
New Jerusalem (dominant, from the warriors set)
Shield of Faith
Helmet of Salvation
Household Idols
Captured Ark

Leviathan
King of Tyrus (Gold)
Goliath (P)
Emperor Nero
Harvest Time
Guardian of Your Souls
Grapes of Wrath
Mayhem

Destruction of Nehushtan
Lost Soul (Hopper)
Lost Soul (Revealer)

There are also a number of other Disciples cards, fortresses, all the NT sites, and many cards (~15" long box worth). There are also multiple copies of some of the Ultra Rare cards.

Most of the cards are mint/near-mint. All are playable. I haven't had a chance to price them out yet. Will update this post when I do.

If outside of the Twin Cities area, buyer pays shipping and would prefer Paypal for payment.

:'( Sad to see you go Thomas...if there's anything I could do to persuade you otherwise, it would probably be to tell you that one of next year's most playable defenses will undoubtedly be Egyptians...if you just hang on for a week and get a hold of some of the new cards, you might be pleasantly surprised.

But if not, it's been great getting to know you, and I hope you might pop in on some of Bill's tournaments just for fun. If you're serious about selling your cards, I would suggest bringing them to Nats where more people might be inclined to make offers that they wouldn't have to pay shipping for.

I'm interested in the Mayhem for my son.

Odd, most parents don't wish that upon their children.

In case you missed it.

Howdy All

I've received quite a number of replies so I wanted to first thank those who are interested. A few miscellaneous points:

(1) I'm looking to sell the collection as a unit, so I probably will not be selling single cards. This is to minimize the number of transactions, and get the best value for my collection as a collection.

(2) The cards listed above are ultra rares (defined as gold-bordered cards and cards like Wrath of Satan that I specifically remember as being hard to come by). There are multiple copies of some of the ultra-rares.

(3) I have a lot of cards and I just don't have the time to compile a list. Buyer will receive the cards listed above + some copies of ultra rares + all the extra/miscellaneous cards (characters, enhancements, sites, fortresses, and so on from many of the sets)

(3) I went through just the list of cards above using the price list on Three Lions Gaming. The cards posted total $511. Some folks have suggested that 40% of TLG prices is a "fair" price. So, taking 40% of that is $200. Because I'm selling the collection as a unit, I'll take an additional $25 off.

So the final price of the collection is $175, or best offer, if above $175.

Hopefully that clarifies things. Thanks and happy shopping!

High bid is currently $150.00.

Looks like $150-$170 would be a fair price for both parties, IMO
I'm not interested, but you very well might get another bid.
Wise move selling as a collection though :)

Are you/he going to be able to make it to the National tournament? It's in the Twin Cities this year, just north of Minneapolis. Even if he's just getting into the game, Nationals is always a great time to learn from the best.

Nationals 2010 was my first Cactus tournament, and I recommend the experience to anyone, regardless of skill level.
