Are the legacy cards just singles or part of the set?

They said something about since they were doing FoM as alternate border from the beginning they were going to possibly do something special at Nationals but never said what. My guess is something to do with the Legacy stuff.

For clarity sake, Legacy Rares will be included in FoM packs as special inserts but are not part of the core 147 cards.

That is already 9 of the 15 cards. This set is looking like the best set to be released, then you add TxP, Dis & remastered cards. . . Best set ever!!!

Not quite...Legacy Rares will be a little "rarer" than that... ;)

So... the pack's rare has a chance to be a Legacy rare instead of a normal FoM rare?
Not sure what I think about it, if that's the case. Legacy rares are cool, but I figure that as long as the old ones are playable then nine times out of ten I'd rather have a new card over a fancier version of one I already have.

I am hoping that they don't replace the Rare. I'm totally fine with them replacing one of the commons, but would be slightly disappointed losing several of these rares!

I can't remember a time I've been disappointed by anything this game did! You guys really hate the OCD completionist collectors don't you! :'( :P

If the Legacy card does the same thing as a card I already own and it's replacing a new card, I don't care what it looks like, I'll be disappointed. I don't have much money for new cards, I don't want to buy cards I already have if I can help it

You assume the Legacy Rare has less value than the card it replaces in the pack. But in most instances you probably won’t have any trouble trading the LR for what you wanted to get.

My first guess is they're throwing it in as an extra card including the regular Rare. But that seems almost too much.

There will not initially be an option to buy a full set including Legacy Rares. The main reason is that I am not even sure how they are being included, just that they are being included. Once I have more concrete info, I may open up an option to purchase the set of Legacy Rares by themselves apart from the FoM stuff I have already posted. That way, I don't have folks who already placed orders wishing they had waited to get the Full-Full Set. Stay tuned!

Given the example of The Garden Tomb it used updated text so I assume the other ones will.

+1 with sepjazzwarrior! I would also like to see a new card instead of a refurbished one I already own in case of their SA - even though it might look really cool and impressive! Since versatily SAs and multibrigade will help in playing successfully and having more fun! :)
Or will these renewed legacy cards also get additional brigades and new/extended special abilities (not "just" errata included)?

That’s actually the standard procedure for other card games that have fancy uberrare old reprints in new packs.

Singles will not go up for pre-order but will be available for purchase after the release. For now the only way to get FoM from Three Lions will be via box and set purchases.

But at least in a new pack I know I'm getting X amount of new cards, now I may be getting X minus a card I already have with a new picture. If their trade value is really that high it's not a problem, but right now I only see collectors wanting them

In PC, CoW and RoJ you get 4 new cards. In FoM Cactus is giving us 5. If it helps you feel better about having to get one of those Legacy Rare cards in 3-4 packs then look at it this way instead... you get an extra new card in 20 packs. WOO HOO!

In regards to collecting the Legacy Rares, I'm guessing some of them will be fairly easy to trade for and some will be pretty difficult, but the majority will be somewhere in the middle.

Remember when the Faithful Servant card from World Vision and the Seeker and Soldier card from Salvation Army were the hard to get rares. Later it was Mayhem and Shipwreck. Currently it's Three Woes and The Second Coming that's hard to obtain or Paul and The Watchman. The Legacy cards are simply the next group of certain hard to get rares.

The major difference however, is that the Legacy Rares are exactly the same as their older versions (all of which except one are very easy to obtain) except for the art and layout. Gameplay-wise, the Legacy Rare version of Eve is no different than the Eve from Disciples. For those of you who are "bothered" by the fact that there will be 3-4 "Legacy Rares" in your full box instead of a FoM card, look at it this way:
* As Gabe said, instead of looking at it as a missing card. Look at it that Cactus decided to ADD an extra FoM card to compensate for the missing card!
* Instead of getting upset that you get yet another reprint of a card you already have. Look at is as you now have an Obedience of Noah that someone will be willing to trade at least $5 worth of cards for, instead of having another copy of the $0.50 version you can hardly give away!
* If your an OCD collector. You now have some really awesome looking cards to acquire, and they might be easier to acquire than most chase cards because of the above point! (This includes me, and I really like these so far!)
* If you are a person who loves the idea of a set rotation. This is a dream come true, as this could be the start.
* If you hate the idea of a set rotation, nothing is set in stone, so quit finding something to worry about, and love how awesome this set is! Plus the first two points!

I do have a question, being out of the card game scene for a while, what does the "set rotation" mean? Is it like with pokemon (my son plays) where older sets eventually are no longer allowed in the competition deck builds due to the newer cards, and each year they altar it a bit?

I preordered the set but may have to make some purchases or potentially comprising booster draft decisions to acquire these sweet legacy rares. Luckily they are cards I would want to take in booster anyway! :-)

Well, I primarily understood that Legacy Rares are more often placed within the upcoming boosters! I do not have a problem at all having them spread in such a manner but I would have a little more of a problem having them in each booster for example.

When I read this I was really excited! This is the first time since the Early Church Set arrived. Maybe this give a better understanding about my disappointment when I later read that their won't be 5 cards within most of the boosters (as said: this was my primarily understanding).

If you order $2,000 worth of cards Fall of Man pre-orders, you will get 4 sets of the Legacy Rares. The interpretation that said $500 or more is correct. I appreciate the business thus far. Fall of Man has been the best selling pre-order set since I have owned Three Lions Gaming and had knowledge of such things. Looking forward to getting the FoM cards, packaging all of these orders, and getting the FoM on their way to their new homes. Only a little over an hour left before the pre-order pricing goes away and the Legacy Rare special disappears forever for FoM.
