When this card comes out at Nationals, which I won't be able to attend, how much do you think I will have to pay to acquire this card in a relative short time? I know its 50 on TLG.
-
I think people are going to be fairly zealous of their new promo.
-
I dont think it can be had except for a lot, probably around 40-50 dollars. That price will probably fall within the first month to about 30-40 but it will hang out there for quite a while, at least a couple of nationals until the supply increases substantially.
-
I will have them for sale for $50 at Three Lions Gaming and would be glad to accept a pre-order in advance if you'd like to. They will be first-come, first-served until I am out.
-
This is going to be MN Nationals. Who knows, maybe there'll be 200 people. That being said, it is a good card, and it's going to be popular....
-
And Rob has stopped doing double promos for good grades so there will be less of this promo available than any other before it.
-
The reason I say it will probably fall is that it is pretty deck specific. It is in two popular brigades (green and white) but if you run gold you wont need it so the demand will be tempered a bit by that. Honestly I think GOliath may be more popular than daniel, but there is a good chance of people getting several copies of goliath due to being able to attend multiple regionals
-
agreed, i believe goliath to be better than daniel...too bad for that policy about evil cards not being nats promos. :p

Actually I like that policy. I think it's good for the game to make a statement that the flagship cards are good.

Now if only the last nats promo could be considered good. ;)

Now Split Altar wasn't that bad. (If it only did what it supposed to.)

I may consider selling my copy...I will probably want to use it in my NT Prophets deck though, so the price will need to be right...
-
well since he is not NT he might look out of place....
-
He's still very good though, and I think Baptism of Jesus is the only NT only enhancement in my deck, so I might want him.

By next year Baptism of Jesus might not be the only NT based enhancement you want in your deck. ;)
-
Yeah yeah, winkedy wink. Now that I think of it, I may not even continue with the game after Nats, so yes, I do believe I will sell you my Daniel if you still want it. $30 sound reasonable?
-
I'm hoping to get an extra Daniel by convincing my wife to play in one category at Nats...unless she wants to keep it and start playing full-time...but that's somewhat unlikely. If I do, I'll almost assuredly be selling it.
-
Do you all foresee the Daniel card being used by a lot of people. Will it be popular in decks?

Since any serious deck already has Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, there will be a natural desire to add Daniel. All we need now is a Chocolate Bunny card.
-
Oh, I love the bunny...
-
But the veggie tales said we can't love the bunny.

I think it will be very much used myself. Prophets are already popular, and this one is possibly the best ever. But who knows what prophet cards will be in the next set, if any? That will probably make a difference, so we can't really know until we see the new cards. I don't really know what kind of effect its popularity will have on its price though.
