And holy crap, how are cards so expensive these days?? I remember AOC promos being $45 bucks back when they were hard to get, but how on earth is Falling Away a $20 card? I have like 6 of those in a box somewhere lol. Weren't all the Women cards commons?
-
good to see you friend! The price of Falling Away fluctuates quite a bit actually. You see now that AoC promo is now 15.00 due to it being distributed at every nationals. Falling Away, while common, is found in an OOP expansion. This is why its raised to 20.00.
-
Thanks man! I'm thinking of making it to Nationals this year to catch up with everybody and have a blast again. I was looking up cards I might want to buy and had some sticker shock lol! ;D
-
There are definitely more cards in the $10-$20 range than there were back in the day, but the only cards going for more than $20-25 are the Women error cards and maybe a couple of the OOP promos (Nicholas of Antioch, Seeker, Faithful Servant).
-
With the factory set being the only reliable way to get Women and Warrior cards now, the highest demand cards for those sets are becoming much more expensive, especially since the factory sets are almost sold out! On the other hand, Apostle and Patriarch rares and ultra rares are continuing to get cheaper (new price updates on those in February) since they are available in Thesaurus and Disciples packs.

Thanks for the explanations, guys. It makes sense.

Related question: when did Glory of the Lord get expensive? I remember when that card was mocked. Is it a thing now? lol

The new Solomon's temple may have given it a boost but I'm pretty sure it's not making any t1 decks and very few if any t2 decks
-
yeah I tried it in a couple decks...didn't work ;D
-
It's viable in T2 decks where the dom cap doesn't come into play, but in T1, unless you're running a very specialized deck, it's pretty low on the dominant totem pole.
