FBTN is just not as strong when you allow banding, when most banding is not CBP/CBN and the defense can get overtop your own chain much easier (unless you spend a lot more cards on it). Ending a chain with Captain is great, but I'd rather negate everything.

The fact that TSA is winning this makes me sad.
Both will be in a pure silver deck - But if I'm splashing just one of them, more than likely I'm splashing Captain - He just has more versatility+better numbers.

Wait...if you're just splashing, how are you taking advantage of the non-band-negation? You are hurting yourself not taking TSA to negate bands.

100% with redoubter on this one. A solo splash always goes TSA for me. The NT factor plays a role as well.
If I have Simeon (wa) or Jacob maybe I go captain instead but that's not totally a splash then.

TSA was the last hero into The Deck, he will be the first out if I ever find somebody I like better.
There are so many decks that play Simeon and Jacob.
I'm not sure how the N.T. factor plays a role - The N.T. soul is not that common anymore - And frankly, rarely causes issues anyway. He's not Herod's Temple protected since he's an angel.

Which ECs do not have CBP bands that are in the meta?
Opponent can band to my Captain though. I don't like that. ;)

I may be out of touch with T1 generally, but I still see all of those fairly consistently there...this isn't just a T2 thing, negating bands is great in T1.
