Which is the better Redemption Hero?

This is tough...

Angel at Tomb's far too situational. He's insanely helpful, but I haven't had my SoG discarded lately. I usually leave Four Drachma Coin up if I'm playing Assyrians or Egyptians.

Isildur has. Isn't that right buddy? ::)
Let's not mention that he still won that game 5-0...
-
I think the last like 3 games ive played you ive had my sog discarded... lol oh rts just loves me
-
angel at tomb shouldnt even be in here. no contest.
-
Definitely Captain of the Host, negate all non weapon class abilities except banding, Angel at the Tomb is only a special case when he is handy, but in that special case you want him, but I still gotta go with Captain..
-
I feel pretty sorry for Angel at Tomb here, going up against one of the contenders for 1st.
-
yeah it's hard to contend...

and the warriors coth is even better than the kings coth outside of a fbtnb deck.
-
This is like 1 v 16 in NCAA March Madness...the 1s have never lost first round...
I'm guessing Sauce voted for Angel at the Tomb since my Jacob/Captain ran over his Pharisees today...even with Holy of Holies active... :P

Actually I used Angel at the Tomb last year beings I ran Gates of Hell

I'm always tempted to try and fit A@tTomb into any T2 MP deck I make that has Silver just in case something happens to me like happened to Andrew last night... :P

I'd add in A@Tomb before A@tTomb, beings Angel at Tomb cannot be negated.

Touche...I admit I would as well... ;)

This reminds me of the "phantom" Son of God combo from many years back...I've actually updated it to how it would probably be pulled off today.
Attack with a Purple Disciple. James son of A would be best since he usually has initiative--it's even better if you choose an immune EC to block so you don't lose initiative. When they block, use Gates of Hell to discard your entire deck (including Son of God). Play a Purple banding card to band in Angel at Tomb and shuffle your Son of God back into draw pile. Play another banding card to band in any Hero who draws a card to draw your Son of God. Play Son of God to rescue a Lost Soul. Then finally play My Lord and My God to negate The Gates of Hell. Hypothetically, Son of God would return to the draw pile with the rest of your cards since you haven't done anything that would negate it, even indirectly. :)

I thought of that too once I saw MLaMG, but I didn't care enough to work out the specifics. But I did do essentially the same thing last year (although I only pulled it off once):
Gates my entire deck
Attack with Jacob
Play Obedience of Noah (choose someone massive or Immune)
Play Courage (yeah... not a very good card, but it wasn't a very good deck. Didn't expect to be competitive anyway)
Band in Angel at Tomb
Play Book of Hozai
I was one Courage from pulling it off against JSB at State last year, in fact.

Since its type 2 couldnt you use like Trust to do it multiple times? Doesnt seem like a very hard combo to pull off...

why would SoG go back? Anything CBN sticks right?

Correct. All CBN enhancements stick, and all dominants do as well.
