I can't believe Michael got the 8th seed for silver. Only 4 nominations! Poor Michael.

The Angel Under the Oak

Post by: stefferweffer on March 08, 2012, 09:10:34 AM: Well, I have never used Angel Under the Oak or a "Sam" deck, so I couldn't vote for him despite how everyone is using him now. I have a strong tendency to deliberately not use what everyone is using anyway.

In contrast, in my old solid silver deck, Angel's Sword + Michael made him nearly unstoppable (except by Uzzah and a couple others). The NT version gets the NT only LS. He gets the First Round Protect LS. He laughs at guys like KOT. With Angel's Sword the "suicide defenses" that use tiny human ECs can't suicide. And one of the neatest things about having him in a solid silver deck is that the opponent just has too many powerful targets to kill, and only one Christians Martyr :) If he's in a deck with Gabriel, COTH and Strong Angel, his chances of survival go up dramatically. The only thing he really fears is not having initiative to a CBN enhancement.

Anyway, I'm sure that in today's "meta" I'm totally wrong, but I did want to make a small case for the highest ranking angel and the herald of our Lord's return :)
