Which is the better Redemption hero?
Thaddeus (Di)
John (H) or John (P)
-
Thad might actually go down in the first round this year. Granted John is really good and is big in two different and powerful deck types.
-
John uses TGT and wrecks meta defense.

+1. I vote John.
-
And again, John should have beaten Thad last year. Nice that we get this out of the way.

Other than the fact John is only up 1 somehow, I agree.

I was referring to the match-up. The Thad hype has dropped, so now we'll actually have a decently un-biased poll.
-
Thad is almost as good this year as he was last. Both are amazing heroes, but John isn't a win strategy in and of himself.
-
The best hero leads to the most LSs.
I'm pretty sure that John will rescue more LSs this year than Thad will.
-
Wait, how is John (P) even here? It's almost like we're voting for three cards...
-
I voted for John since he wrecks meta defenses this year.
-
Exactly. Better initiative and sacky rescues with TGT as well? Sign me up.
-
Pretty much. To be clear, I voted for Thad last year, and I still think he should have won last year, but things change, and John is simply more viable now.

What's changed? The anti-meta defense this year is the same as it was last year.

Two things. Last year Philistines were a viable defense, and I think that Thad was a better option than John was in dealing with them in the late game. Additionally, last year, Disciples were the fastest offense, which meant Thad was better at the end game. This year they're not, so there's a smaller chance of solid Thad abuse before an opponent using a Sam deck would deck out.

We're voting for hero, not specific card. In most cases there is only 1 version of a hero that anyone in their right mind would use. However, in this case, I could possibly see someone using either version of John, so I included both.
