Which is the better Redemption hero?
Benjamin (FF)
Ira (Ki)
-
I went with Ira. Benjamin doesn't fit in anything other then a Genesis deck.
-
Ira can be in Sam decks. Benjamin can't. Go Ira.
-
Hmm. One CBN, one FBTN. I'll go with Ira, because I've actually used him to some success.
-
Since apparently Benjamin players are the silent majority, I'll just say that the ability to use several good battle winners CBN with initiative vs. every EC (except guys like Spirit of Temptation and Gib Delegates with Crown of Thorns) is better than FBTN. Plus, Benjamin is recurrable with two different Heroes.

My main problem with Ben is that he's overshadowed by better heroes within Genesis. Chances are I can be rescuing with Zebulun, Simeon/Levi, Eve, or Joe instead of Ben.

What you say is true (though I would have to disagree with you about Simeon/Levi being better). But does that make Ben any less powerful as a character? Ben is almost assured inish and has several awesome battle winners to work with. I would say that CBN battle winning, and easy recur-ability is better than Ira's FBTN ability.

No doubt a 1/1 that has CBN enhancements is ridiculously good. But Ira wins battles without enhancements. Character-heavy decks are still the best in T1.

I play blue in T2 so my views of Benjamin are coming from the T2 standpoint. I really haven't played genesis in T1 that much.
