Search deck for Storehouse or Goshen. Protect sons of Jacob from discard. Enhancements with "Joseph" in the title or reference cannot be negated.

May band to a silver brigade Hero, or you may play a Genesis Enhancement.

Play first means CTB, PBI, Search, all without the need for HT taking up an artifact slot. Band to any silver is insane at this point in the game. Honestly, think about how many top decks (regardless of type) make use of Joseph. Now do the same for Jacob.

Jacob goes in more decks, has more uses, and still has great support. Joseph makes some cards CBN (not even the best battlewinners) and has great numbers, but he has nothing on the power that Jacob has.

I agree with this, for T2. Genises is good because of bro, not because of Jake.

A Genesis deck may use Joseph more, but Jacob is amazing in that deck and many others (including the most meta decks out there).

Play-first on his own or banding to Silver for the current best banding chains in the game? Yep, going with Jacob every time.

Post by: Chris on March 25, 2014, 04:35:11 PM: I may be wrong, but I don't recall seeing Jacob much in top decks last year. I initially included him in many of my decks, but he's so grievously overshadowed by Simeon in OT decks that there's little point in having both of them. Covenant with Death and Darius' Decree are both used quite a bit which shuts down Jacob almost entirely. Joseph can turn the best three battlewinners blue has into CBN, plus he has green synergy. That clenches it for me.

"Hmm, what evil or neutral card is giving me trouble? I guess I'll just put it beneath my opponent's deck or generate a LS out of it. And oh yes, I probably have a second one with which to win the battle."
