Title: Are there regular active Redemption players using TTS?
Post by: Reth on May 20, 2019, 06:18:34 PM
Hi there,

question says it all: Are there any of these around? And if so - how many?
Reason is: I am just thinking about buying a TTS key for steam (there are some quite tempting offers at ebay and other sources).

But without some kind of micro-playerbase this does not seem to be much reasonable ...

Kind Regards

I am strongly considering paying for TTS.  I'm not a big fan of Lackey.

It looks like TTS costs $19.99.  Can anyone else confirm this?  Is this the only cost for a Redemption player that wants to play Redemption on TTS?

If so, I might be willing to do something to promote TTS as a way to play Redemption:

1. I will offer to buy TTS for you.
2. In return, you agree to play a few games with me within a certain time frame (maybe 2 games over the next month).
3. If we play the agreed-upon games, no reimbursement for TTS is required.
4. There would be a limit on how many TTS purchases I would make.

Would anyone be interested in something like this?

Do note that TTS goes on sale on Steam regularly. If absolutely nothing else, the Summer Sale tends to start in late June, so if you wait a month I can almost guarantee you'll get it for cheaper.

I haven't played a game on TTS yet, but I have built a deck. The controls take a bit of getting used to, and I think all in all I prefer doing actual deckbuilding on Lackey, but the gameplay itself seems like it'll be stronger on TTS.

I would like to add that there is currently a deal for tabletop simulator for the 4-pack on Fanatical with an extra 10% off with the discount code MAY10 that brings the total cost down to $26.99 or $6.75 per copy. https://www.fanatical.com/en/game/tabletop-simulator-4-pack (https://www.fanatical.com/en/game/tabletop-simulator-4-pack) (This is the lowest possible price for the game as far as I am aware)

EDIT: on a side note you can always find the best price here: https://isthereanydeal.com/game/tabletopsimulator/info/ (https://isthereanydeal.com/game/tabletopsimulator/info/)

I was planning on getting the newest cards added over our spring break but with everything ramping up there has been little to no time to get it updated. After this Wednesday our finals will be over and I will have a good chunk of time to get all of the new cards added.

I’d be willing to try TTS. Never used it before so the learning curve would be high for me.

This looks great - thanks for pointing out this deal.  I think I'll make this purchase shortly.

I've also never used TTS.  Do you want one of my 3 extra copies when I buy the 4-pack?

TableTop Simulator. It's a program for playing card games online (similar to Lackey).

Here anew unused TTS account is sold in ebay for converted $6.53 - wonder whether such accounts will work...

I would not trust anything to do with selling steam accounts. That sounds like what you're describing and it's always super sketchy.

Also on a side note, if you guys find anything that you think could be improved, changed, tweaked or a feature you would like to throw out there for consideration, please consider posting it in this thread.

That link is for the deck builder table but there is also a suggestion box for a separate game table meant to facilitate Redemption play better than the default tables.

It doesn't matter how far fetched it is, as long as it would be somewhat useful and even if it's just cool, it gives me an idea of what to work on. I'll be adding some of my own things to those lists eventually as well after the summer gets underway.

Some of the things I'm thinking of are a completely customizable drafting system, better searching functionality, deck stat generator, decklist import/export, automatic deck creation from text list, possibly custom card creation in-game. There are really endless options. :)

Just as an FYI for those of you considering testing out Tabletop Simulator, the newest cards and promos have been added. I've only added the images for now and none of the other metadata because I'm in the process of a backend overhaul that will require rewriting too much to spend time on that. If you're wondering how to get the cards you can spawn the whole stack in the upper right of the table by the PoC phase 1 spawner card. The promos are included in the stack to the right of that.
