I'm considering hosting an online Redemption tournament for Land of Redemption. Here are some initial ideas of what that might look like.
- Type 1
- 8-16 participants
- Should we do single elimination or best of 3?
- participants will ideally complete their game(s) in one weeks time
- Participants will be required to use Lackey
- All games must be recorded. If you need assistance figuring out how to do that, I will help you.
- Games will be aired on Land of Redemption
I haven't decided on the exact prize support yet, but some of the things it could involve are Grapes, Mayhem, Faithful Servant promo, Early Church packs and Womens packs. Prize support for at least the top 2 places, maybe more. I could probably give the winner(s) their choice of pre-determined prize packages.
This could be a great opportunity to fine tune and test out your deck ideas against some stiff competition before the State, Regional and National tournaments!
I'm trying to gauge interest at this point and would like your feedback.

I love this idea and would be very happy to participate and/or assist! :D

I'd be up for it. After all, I need to practice for Nats!

So long as this would start more than two weeks from now, I'd be in to at least help (if there get to be a lot of sign-ups, I'll drop as a player, or if I'll make it even I'll participate, for instance).
I think a best of three is almost always the best way to go, but online games could take longer and I don't know if everyone can dedicate the amount of time necessary to make that happen.
Would this be elimination or Swiss for style?
Would matches be aired each week? Participants should know going in whether their decks and/or strategies will be seen each week by their next opponent (which adds to the fun and strategy, IMO).
Will you want all games to be completed via Skype as well, so that audio can be recorded? Or will that not be mandatory?
Is there a way to either show or hide both hands in the video to be aired (probably hiding is easier) so that we don't see more of one player than another?

With Dayne and Scott I believe it would 17 players right now.

Then unless we hit another 'good' number, I'll drop and help people with technical stuff / be available for rulings so that it is at 16.

Like I said I may not be able to participate so someone stay on a waiting list to take my place.

Any news on that?
