Mine are:


Hopper LS - this card is good for the game, helps lost soul generation for any deck type

Household Idols - very useful old card that could use updated wording

Authority of Christ (not sure if promo or not) - just an iconic part of the game

Fascinating. That seems like a great change.

What's the latest I can play this and still be in battle phase? Can I still play it after losing the fight to a battlewinner?

You can play it until battle resolution starts. Battle resolution leads straight into the discard phase.

So you can play it after a battle winner, but not after an EtB card.

I think Gabe is wrong about two of these, maybe all... :)

However, these are probably hints rather than actual guesses.

I don’t think Zeal works because the scripture would be between Balaam’s Disobedience and Spy. No room.  However, it could be Urim & Thummim or Lampstand. I am thinking U&T. Could also be Asherah Pole which I had guessed before without paying attention to the numbers/verses.

As far as NJ being suggested, I am not sure. Seems like tournament winner cards would not get a LR reprint.  Grapes is my guess, especially with the reprint of Mayhem errata.

Canaan could be correct for #8 based on scripture verse. I didn’t see anything else from Leviticus that jumped out while I was looking through cards anyway. Maybe First Fruits, but Pentecost is already in there...

Since I’m looking at numbers, #4 is likely either Joseph in Prison, Lot’s Wife, or Abraham’s Descendant. I think any are viable based on their strength and the themes in this set.

I don’t think Goliath is LR based on other comments about him being sent to printer. However year of the giant cannot be ignored. My guess is Philistine Armorbearer with Garrison as a backup guess for covering the giant LR.

Other LR possibilities/guesses are Bravery if David, Foreign Sword, and Isaiah.

I could see quite a few cards filling these spots. For #4 Jacob, Angel at Shur, and Abes servant to Ur all seem good as well. For #8 zeal for the lord and Canaan both are cards I could see fit and would like. As for #15 well that's anything past captured arks reference and I think its gonna stay OT but not go into major or minor prophets too much as we don't see them in this set so I went with Samuel cause I've seen Gabe use a full art Samuel before and Judges are in the set. I'm probably wrong but just my guesses.

Since Lot’s Wife took #4, I am thinking Joseph in Prison is out.
Based on one of my other posts that included Lot’s Wife, TheGuardian said that one of my options was correct. That doesn’t necessarily mean that more than one was NOT right, but Asherah Pole was in that post as well.  None of the others were.

Based on how this set was, I'm guessing you'll continue the OT trend somewhat in the next set. If you are planning on printing legacy cards from now on, David's Triumph can be the first one for next year's set. With FoM having reached Egypt I can only guesstimate that the claiming of the Promised Land,Judges and the first Israel/Judea kings will be in the next set.  Can we set up a post to suggest cards for the next set,please?

Pure Judges will be better this year than last year, and 2 brigades in play is better than 4

Plus, with the Judges and Exodus stuff in FoM, plus his FBTN-ness, Legacy Rare Moses will be amazing for Boosting

Since we try to have the LRs go with the rest of the set to some degree we will probably need to wait for a set with more of a N.T. focus before we see N.T. LRs.  ::)

If set rotation were to happen, would the regular version of a Legacy Rare from a rotated-out set be legal for tournament use?

It’s way too early to tell but there’s a chance that only cards printed in the post I/J format will be legal if we ever do set rotation.

Gotcha- ok thanks. So getting the Legacy rares could potentially be very important as they might end up being the only tournament-legal versions of each card.

At least for me, this possibility definitely makes obtaining the LRs more of a priority!

That’s a good guess but probably not accurate. Based on discussions we’ve had I don’t think we want so many staple cards to be extremely difficult to come by. LRs are something we hope to do throughout this block of sets (although FoM is kind of the testing ground for them). We did them in full art as a way to make them “cooler” and special.

If we reach a point where we plan to rotate old sets we have discussed first doing a full “reprint” set of staple cards we feel are balanced and belong. It’s highly likely that cards that appeared as LRs will also be printed there in a more traditional format instead of full art.

I remember reading somewhere where Gabe said 22% of the Legacy rares were made up of dominant's and lost souls and going by what books of the Bible are left and what we have to choose from my guess would be the Punisher lost soul LR17 and the hopper lost soul LR15.
