Title: What Are The Known Error Cards?
Post by: CtheTree on January 15, 2020, 02:25:21 PM
I am a collector of Redemption cards. I have essentially completed my collection so now I am interested in collecting error cards. I noticed the blank on both sides error card and the blank on one side error card on TLG and have found a way to get both of those. What are the other error cards that you all know about?

Kindness from the Original set is a common error in which a cross (Hero) icon was printed instead of a Bible for it being a good enhancement.

From the Women's set, there are 4 error cards which are more rare (you can buy them from TLG for $20 each): Bravery of Priscilla, Jairus' Daughter, Jochebed, and Lydia. These are errors because they are missing their stats (*/*).

From the G/H starter deck, there are 7 purple brigade error cards which are missing their stats (*/*). These are more rare than the Women's error cards, and aren't available for purchase via any retailer. I have a set and I think I know of one other person on the boards who has one, although I'm sure there are others. These are the error cards: Cast Out Demons, James son of Zebedee, John, Letters to the Churches, Parmenas, Reach of Desperation, The Word Spreads

I also have 2 additional error cards from the G/H starters which I believe are one of a kind, although I can't obviously know for sure. They are Angel of the Lord and Pharaoh.

Finally there are the completely white brigade angels from Angel Wars, Priests, Faith of Our Fathers/Rock of Ages, and Disciples. These are also super rare and I don't have any of them (have only seen pictures) and I know of just one person who has one (a white Angel at Jerusalem from Priests).

Offset silver brigade angels where the silver is misaligned with the brigade box are more common and considered misprints instead of errors.

These are all I can think of at the moment (aside from the blank ones you mentioned).

P.S. if you search "error" in these boards you can find some old threads with more info

Sorry for the double-post, but are you also aware of the variants across many sets? Those are really fun to collect and are the same value as the regular versions so it's not cost prohibitive.

Thanks Jesse! Great list. If anyone else can think of more error cards that exist beyond what Jesse mentioned please post on this thread.

Also I am not aware of the variants across sets so more info on those would be great.

To my knowledge only 3 exist and they are the White Brigade Angel at Shur promo card.

Godspeed,
Mike

Thanks Mike - I meant Angel at Shur, not Jerusalem. Although when you search the boards there are past threads mentioning other white brigade angels from the sets I listed...

Patriarchs Storehouse has two versions.  One with one moon, and one with two moons (like Tattoine in Star Wars, I believe)

In apostles, there are cards that have the fish facing one direction, and they exist as well with fish facing the opposite direction.  This is not true for all apostles cards.

Patriarchs also has stolen blessing with special ability text, and then stolen blessing without the special ability text (the error version).

In kings, Mustering for War there is a green border version, and a blue border version of the card.

I believe also in Patriarchs there are cards where the picture is facing one way, and then have the same card with the picture facing the opposite way (perspective), this is not the case for all of those cards in that set, just certain ones.

I believe SiLeNcEd_MaTrIx from forums knows all of these variants as far as specifics.  Try reaching out to him.

Thanks, whiteandgold7- I have a PDF list I compiled of all the error and variants in the game, which I sent to CtheTree. If anyone would like me to email it to them, please PM me your email address and I would be glad to. And yes most of my info came from silenced_matrix's excellent Redemption website, redemptionccgfl.weebly.com

Mace (kings) the only ever warrior class (not weapon class) enhancement ever made (shield is on the wrong side)

Cool, I didn't know about that! Although it's obviously an error, I'm not sure if that would be considered an "error card" because since it was never fixed it's the only version.  :dunno:

Thanks guys for all of the feedback so far, very helpful! If anyone can think of any other error cards that are not mentioned here please add your thoughts.

Jesse’s PDF listing errror cards and variants is quite helpful and I would recommend it to anyone interested in collecting error cards/variants. He put a lot of work into it!

Hey Josiah, yes here's the thread (which has pictures) from when I first got the G/H errors: https://www.cactusforums.com/redemption-market/aotl-(g)-error-or-misprint!/msg589510/#msg589510

And thanks Kyle! I wish I had extras for you as I know what a great collector you are!
