Title: Unreliable Dominant
Post by: Felix on May 15, 2009, 09:29:21 PM
I was going through my cards, when I spotted the good Dominant Harvest Time. It helps your opponent more than you. Should I use it or not? ???

How does it help your opponent? I suppose it gives them a lost soul to block and use their evil cards. However, I think it would help you more because it would give a lost soul to rescue when there are none available in your opponent's land of bondage.

Harvest Time gives your opponent the ability to take a Lost Soul out of their deck and put it in play. Doesn't that help them?

No, it actually give YOU the ability to search your opponents deck and pull out a lost soul. Then you now have a lost soul to rescue. You do realize that your heroes can only rescue lost souls from your opponents land of bondage, right? Maybe not???

Harvest Time
Type: Lamb • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: If your opponent has no Lost Soul in play, select a Lost Soul card from his draw pile and put it into his Land of Bondage. Shuffle draw pile. • Play As: If your opponent has no Lost Soul in play, search opponent’s deck for a Lost Soul and put in opponent’s Land of Bondage.

I think Harvest Time is good for opponents who use Confusion of Mind or somehow gets rid of their lost souls from their land of bondage. Buuuuuut....if they do/have neither, the only point of Harvest time is if opponent Son of God/ Burial their only lost soul/shuffler.

So it's not useless, but if you have all the big cards like Destruction, you have less a reason to have Harvest Time.

It's definitely not useless.  In speed decks, it is a STAPLE.

Harvest Time keeps papers together in speed decks? Sorry dunno what that means.

A staple is a constant in a deck.  So, Son of God is a staple in all decks.  Harvest Time is used in all speed decks because ot combats many dominants including Son of God, NJ, Burial, and cards like Hormah and more.  It also will start a RA.

In fact, in my speed deck, I use three cards that bring out lost souls: Harvest Time, hopper LS, and A Slave.  Not having a LS to get when you have offense in speed is dangerous.

In addition, you can use Harvest Time to fish out the Hopper soul, which then does not hop to your territory, or the Revealer soul, which does not reveal because it was searched rather than drawn.

Yeah, I agree it isn't reliable cuz its a case to case senario dom but it is far from useless. I don't use it due to my slow decks but it is good.

There is, actually, an unreliable dominant that I don't like; I always doubt when I use it.

You mean Harvest Time lets YOU search their deck and not them? Mega . Thank you for correcting my line of thinking; I almost gave it away. Anyway, what was your unreliable dominant, Cameron the Conqueror?

I doubt Cameron would make it so obvious in his post, but maybe he did.

What hints are you guys all talking about? There could be none of them, or even twelve hints.

You can still give it to me, I still need to line my bird cage with something... ::)

Sorry, Crustpope. Since I have all of this good evidence why I should keep it, I guess I'll just have to bear its presence . And I have gathered from the dropped hints that the dominant is Doubt. :2cents: That's my two cents worth. ;D

You can look up the informaiton for any card in the REG.

http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/ (http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/)

Just click on Card Index then Description on the left to search for cards alphabetically.  When you're looking at the card info you can see a picture of the card by clicking on the set name. :)

Is there a difference between the Warriors Harvest Time and the Promo Harvest Time?

One has a shiny gold border and one doesn't.

Oh and one has a little sword symbol at the bottom left corner, the other doesn't.

Same SA

Same picture

And yet neither one ever goes in my decks, maybe because I play T2 and have other cards in the deck that I like better.

Doubt sounds like a good evil card. Why do you hate it?
because it only lasts for one turn, it's orange, so you can't play enhancements unless you use orange... ::) other then that, it's often a good block, but there are better cards.
