Hi,
or not really valid playing it at all in this format?
What do you think about this card and its ability?
Bye

One of my brothers used this combo in T1 MP at Nationals. I think he said he only got it off 1 round (maybe 2), but that it definitely paid off really well in that one round.
-
The only T1 2P deck I can think of where I would consider playing this is an N.T. gold offense based on decking the opponent.
-
The original ability on this card was far more drastic than its current state...I've told a few people about the ridiculous combo I pulled off in testing, but maybe I can do a quick write up for LoR as well. 8)

Please do, cutting room floor articles are among my favorites.

Well I have it in the reserve of my Angels deck - but never used it so far (with Gabrial I could even recur it as wanted) - HZR is also in of course. Hence I wondered whether it would be worth playing e.g. above Chariot of Fire or similar?

In a pure angel deck, Everlasting Beings is far better as a way to recur discarded angels. If Song of Moses was territory class, even in it's current symmetrical form, I could see it being played in reserve as discard recursion as you describe but having to get initiative and play it in battle severely hampers its usefulness.

I could also see Song of Moses being run in a Twelve Gates T2 deck w/ 4 copies of Angelic Guidance, maybe Attending Angel as well, etc.
It can also be played preblock via Hidden Treasures, and with it being CBN, you just need to get it activated somehow :P
-
Everlasting beings is in my reserve too - but also not yet used so far since as said: Initiative is necessary to use it.
While I also have 2 Martyrs in for support (one as enhancement) I used Chariot of Fire but this brings them just back in deck. With Song I can bring them back in territory.
So concluding question: When in battle and having ini with e.g. lower numbers I assume I'd keep ini after playing Song, right?

As long as you are still losing by numbers yes.
