I got my promo cards from Solomon's Temple, and was wondering why King Solomon is gold and not Purple. He's not a "judge", right? He has a neat ability, but I can't see adding him to my Gold judges deck.
I think there are also a few other good kings who are not purple. Anyone know why certain good kings are purple and others are not? Thanks.

It's because Redemption hasn't always promoted themes are strongly as they have in the past few years. Not all good kings have been printed in purple yet but they will be someday. ;)

Purple royalty and Red warriors seem to be the few themes that were around since the start. In the Kings expansion, since so many kings were being printed, it probably seemed a bad idea to put them all in one brigade (just as in Warriors, the warriors weren't all in Red), so they "classified" them into the various brigades ("well, Jehoshaphat went to battle, let's make him Red"). In Priests, several of them were reprinted into Purple, leaving only a couple like King Asa unreprinted.
I don't know why King Solomon wasn't made Purple though. Maybe because Wisdom of Solomon was already in Gold?

That's a possibility. Gold also represents wealth. Solomon had more wealth (and gold) than anyone who lived before him or after him.

On a side note about "King Solomon", whose ability is "Opponent must show all evil cards in their hand", has anyone ever had a problem with "cheating"? I know this is a bible-based game, but don't abilities like this open the door to dishonesty?

Considering that I've never seen anyone play with King Solomon in their deck at all, it really hasn't come up :)
Speaking of which, I'd like to trade for one if someone has one.
