Title: Protecting Evil Fortresses
Post by: Mageduckey on April 04, 2013, 12:23:47 PM
Is there any way to protect Gates of Samaria from an opponent's cards (ASA, Breaking Jerusalem's Walls, Trumpet Blast, etc.)?

Protection of Jerusalem (Pa) is the only way I know. Pleading for the City is a great way to search out the set aside angels.

Protection of Jerusalem (Pa)
Play as: "Set aside two silver brigade Heroes. Protect one Fortress from discard while both Heroes are set aside."

Pleading for the City
"Set aside a Hero for one turn. On return, you may search deck for up to 2 silver Heroes and place them in hand, and search opponent's discard pile for all Lost Souls and place in his territory."

Don't attack, don't block, and have CWD active.  They will never use any of those cards you mentioned  ;)

You can't go without blocking forever.  ::)

Hence the smiley face.

And you actually can go without blocking...  If your Samaria sites have them sitelocked.

Unless you know, they're playing pretty much any popular offense as they all generally either have some green brigade prophet or site access.
