A) Yes
B) No
C) the same
D) more manageable, but still good
Speed as in things like Disciples, fast combo decks, Sam, and Genesis.
-
Given that 3/4 of your examples are the best decks in the meta, speed is even better this year.
-
unfortunately yes :P
-
Well with your definition of speed as "anything that draws a couple cards," yeah it's going to DOMINATE. ;)
-
Card drawing is not more or less dominant that it was last year. Each year more and more players realize that drawing cards is extremely beneficial, and each year they are given more tools that draw cards efficiently. With more card drawing options available more are being played. However, "Speed" as a deck was dead years ago.
If you believe what you read on the boards, last year EVERYONE was playing Disciples. This year EVERYONE is playing some variation of Sam-I-Am, Genesis or Isaiah. The later two draw very few cards compared to the first. So if you believe the hype, card drawing is less popular this year.
-
You need to define speed. Some call a deck a speed deck because it uses Samuel and Angel under the Oak.
Others put little to no Defense in the criteria.
But my answer would be definitely yes. Though people will be uses Rain because Dust and the mutual draw art more often now.

You hear that, and then you go to Nats and 15(?) of the top 20 decks are TGT.

I agree.

I said TGT was the best last year. And I'm saying it's the best again this year. :-*.

I'm going to go 11-0 at nats with my TGT/Red/Royalty/Teal/Sam/Genesis/Disciples deck.

TGT is better this year, speed is the same.

I played a Green/Gold/Teal/Red/Silver (minimum 3 characters each, one enhancement) deck in teams the other day. I drew 20 cards my first turn....but I wanted to add purple...

I agree, speed is better in T1 2P, but in multi it can be frustrating
