Title: Grill Gabe and The Guardian -- questions needed for upcoming podcast!
Post by: The Guardian on June 30, 2016, 04:53:44 PM
Hey guys,

I'm going to be starting a new series on Land of Redemption entitled "Grill Gabe and The Guardian" where players can submit questions to Gabe and myself, and we'll each give our respective opinions on the answers to those. Questions can be anything Redemption-related: deck building choices, strength of various strategies, personal favorite cards from each set, even questions about our experiences at Nationals.

Each month we'll pick a few of the questions and answer those either through written responses or do it podcast style. We may even be able to do a prize drawing for all those whose questions are used, but we'll see how many responses there are.

If you have a question, please send to me via PM. Thanks!  8)

We've only received one entry so far (thank you Raven!), surely someone out there is curious about something that Gabe and I can debate...  :o

Thanks to several contributors we have more than enough questions for the first installment!

Feel free to continue to PM me with questions for future episodes/articles. Gabe and I are hoping to do a podcast from MN State this weekend with our answers to several of the submitted questions so hopefully that works out!

Hey guys, the next episode of Grill Gabe & The Guardian should be coming out in the next couple weeks, and we have the questions set for this episode, but we'd love to have some more submissions to choose from for future episodes! Also, thanks to everyone who has submitted questions already--I'm saving them all so if we don't use them right away, they might show up in an episode down the road!  8)

(C'mon, I know someone wants to hear Gabe and I debate about which category is better, T1 2P or T2 2P...  :o )

I'll bite. I want to hear that debate!

Also, do either of you have a specific card that you always try to include in every deck regardless of theme/brigades? (other than dominants and lost souls)

I'll send these via PM as well just to be official. :P

What's the best anti meta theme?

Hey guys, thinking I might try to do a Grill The Guardian podcast in the next week or two (may or may not include Gabe depending on his schedule).

If you have some questions regarding the new set or anything else (other than what deck I'm using at Nationals... ::)) post here or send me a PM.  8)

I would be interested in hearing if there is a competitive edge gained with playtesters seeing the new set and the timing of the release of the new set. Statistics on winners at nationals, who they are and if there is a correlation between experiencing the set for a longer amount of time compared to the average player. I also realize playtesters tend to be the best players so this can be a skewed statistic, but it's an interesting topic.
Is there a meta right now?
Is there a lagging meta due to the amount of sets being released and when?
Does a person who has more available resources to acquire the cards quickly have an unfair advantage, this is obvious so maybe dive more into how can the average player collect cards for their deck in time for the tournament season? Other than pick your favorite deck on Lackey and buy what you need.
I love the way the game is going so I would like some more insight on where you two see the future of the game going.
Will red ever be relevant? Lol.
Can teal get a boost as well now that I think about it.
Will a new offense stand out this year at Nationals like BoM and Throne did last year?
If Justin doesn't play Type 2 this year should the winner of Type concede first place automatically and get second and the person in second get bumped to 3rd? Not a serious question...
I think that's all I got!
