Title: Lack of Burial
Post by: Bdog on June 26, 2015, 09:09:48 PM
Burial has always been one of my favorite dominants. Even after playing for over 3 years, I still include it in every deck. Lately, though, I've been noticing that hardly anyone except for new players use it. Why is this?

With the dominant cap, the question is whether it is worth including over another dominant in T1.  It is not a guaranteed block in the category, and most decks don't have a way to stall permanently, so they'd rather a different dominant be available to them.

Also, I imagine the newest players may not use it because it is not in the starter decks anymore (a fact I love), but mostly I would blame dom cap.

Burial is a fantastic utility card. There are all sorts of things you can do with Burial to manipulate the souls on the board. Not the strongest dominant anymore in comparison to something like Grapes or even Shipwrecked but one you should keep in mind depending on what type of deck you're playing.

I think I might add Grapes of Wrath in place of burial, but until I get really lucky when opening a treasures pack, I think I'll keep using burial. Thanks for the good points everyone.
