What is the defintion of "is harmed or defeated by an opponent"? Is there any outside of the battle or inside of the battle combos to get around that?

anything not of its own alignment is harm or defeat. for job, this would be from neutral or evil cards.
-
I'm pretty sure the Stalks of Flax switch should work for a bit. Switch and use Job yourself and let the owner of the card kill him. That will stall for at least 4 turns.
1. Switch for him.
2. Use him the second turn you have him.
3. They pull him out and keep him in dust and ashes for one turn
4. They get him back.
Or put Tribal Elder in your deck and use him too.

As soon as you try to Stalks him, he goes to D&A. It eez harming him no?

I'm fairly certain that Tribal Elder and Seraphim would work by banding to Job, and you could let the owner of Job kill him that way. But Job decks have ways of dealing w/ those amateurs ;).

No, he is not being harmed. Stalks just exchanges, there is no harm being taken place. Exchange =/= Harm
-
Stalks is an effect caused by a card not of the same alignment. So it would be harm. If Stalks was a covenant, it would not be harm.
-
So basically everything you do to Job harms him. And even if you band him in, your opp will just kill their own job, put them him in dust & ashes and get him back the next turn anyway?

If you band him in, and your opponent somehow defeats him, he would not go to D&A since he wasn't defeated by the opponent, he was defeated by the owner of D&A and Job.

nice. Thanks. I would assume that everyone use'n a Job deck though would have in WoP, right? Anyway to band to him by getting around WoP and still not be'n negative, without a big combo of course.

some combo with Habakkuk? I'm pretty sure Habakkuk negates protect fortresses.
I'm not sure I agree that the "Harm" ruling includes exchanges. That seems a bit odd to me.

Habakkuk (TP)
Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Green • Ability: 6 / 3 • Class: None • Special Ability: Negate all protect abilities on evil cards. After this battle, you may discard a warrior class Evil Character. Cannot be negated. • Identifiers: OT Male Human, Prophet • Verse: Habakkuk 3:1-2 • Availability: Thesaurus ex Preteritus booster packs ()
Nope.
Don't you all try messing with my Job, he's my homeboy. :P
-
Sounds like Job needs some territory class or "placed" diseases/not enter battles.
-
Placing an Evil card on him would Harm him.

His annoyance grows.... :P
Clearly, my schooling has taken me out of the loop.
