Post by: Sadness on January 05, 2011, 04:54:10 PM
How many curses can you use per deck?
How many Covenants per deck?
How many artifacts?

I am building a type 1 deck.
Red,Teal,Purple
Crimson,Gray,Black

Thanks

In type 1, I believe any card that has special ability text written on it, (as every card does since the last several sets), is limited to one per deck if your deck is less than 100 cards.  At 100 cards you can include two of a special ability card, except dominants, which are always limited to one per deck.  (Most players' type 1 decks are considerably less than 100 cards though.)

If you have a rulebook the deck construction rules are near the back.  I believe you can read the rulebook online at Cactus Game Design's website also.

P.S.  On a side note, if you recently started the game, you may want to try single color or dual color offenses/defenses first.  I saw you mentioning a deck using 3 good colors and 3 bad colors.  If you haven't tried it yet, just be aware that there is little more frustrating than not having the right color enhancements for your heroes and evil characters, and having to discard perfectly good cards at the end of every turn until you draw the right color.  Try to make a deck that has really good "odds" of being able to make a solid rescue and block a solid rescue by your opponent every turn.

Go Red/Purple or Teal/Red. Not both.

and by Crimson/Grey/Black, I hope that means Red Dragon, Emperor Nero, and Phillies.

Grey/black may work as Pharisees and Sadducees, but each of these groups are viable now as single color defenses too.
