How do you store your cards?
« on: November 03, 2009, 05:47:06 AM »

I currently have 4 x 2000 count plastic boxes and a binder. I have the boxes sorted by brigade then type, the binder is used for my rares and ultras (plus sets like FooF, RoA, and TexP).

I am looking to revamp my storage system as my collection is outgrowing my current capacities. Any advice?

I am thinking about several smaller binders i.e. one for ultras and promos, one for rares then one for the Foof, RoA, TexP stuff.

After I sort it out, I will be thining the collection down a bit. (Keep and eye on Redemption Market for the thinning)
And the Lord will descend with a SHOUT, with the VOICE of the Archangel, and the TRUMPET of God.

I don't have nearly that many cards, so I currently use 4 of the YGO-size tins (see here for a pic) for good and evil characters and enhancements (except teal and orange), a binder for URs/Promos and Fortresses/Artifacts/Sites/Teal/Orange, and 2 RoA tins (one has a set of G/H decks and the other has my main deck).

I am a BIG fan of these:

I use the four component boxes and use 2 components per color (remember I play type 2)

All other stock is in 150 ct boxes or binders

I store my collection in two 3 ring binders (Which are currently half way full) serperated by set then alphabetically will come next when I get time XD Then my extras go into Chris' 1000 cards 5 compartment container of covenantgames.com for $5.25 each. Works REally well. I have three ROA tins that I am currently using for my UPC's BTW can i save the TexP for the UPC's too? Just wondering  :P

That is whack. It is the same amount as a womans pack, the third highest set, and you cannot save them?

I actually am using a box similar to the ones that Chris sells, mine hold 2000 though. I originaly bought them at Target, but haven't seen them in years.

Regarding the TexP packs thing, it is probably because of the thickness of the pack or that, if you could send in the packs people would want to get TexP for their upc's. ( but this discussion is for another thread)

The CovenantGames boxes are great. The key is to not store all the commons. You don't need them too often and when you do you can just look through the box that you keep them all in. Only the good uncommons, rares and ultras and foof and all of those should go in boxes imo. That should help you store cards without buying anything new.  :)

What is whack is someone complaining that they can't turn in UPC's from EVERYTHING to get free product, when instead they should be thankful that they can turn in UPC's from ANYTHING to get free product.  Other CCGs don't give away free packs for UPC's at all.  We should all be grateful for Rob's generosity.
