Title: High Level Play
Post by: 777Godspeed on October 30, 2018, 04:20:22 PM
What are the chances of more of the High Level Play videos being produced?
They were very informative from the deck rundowns at the beginning all the way through the game play and commentary. Something I think people would enjoy are archetype deck rundowns and then being played. In my mind, players, new and old, would get a sneak peek of the decks at the beginning of the video and then see how they set up and develop during gameplay.
I think this story would apply with the videos also. I had never seen a Heroless deck played until I played against one on the old RTS. I had read about them, but that was it. After playing against the Krazy VP, I was hooked.
I think the videos could provide this kind of experience also. Decks are explained in the beginning and then an actual visual of the archetype deck setting up and developing through the gameplay and commentary.

Godspeed,
Mike

John and I really enjoy doing them, but they are pretty time consuming from the production standpoint. Being involved in producing 2 sets per year has left me with time for very little else where Redemption is concerned. We've talked about doing more. We just haven't found the time yet.

Perhaps others can do it then. Any volunteers?

I figured it was most likely something along those lines , but I wanted to ask. It has been a good resource, at least for me, to show new players. We all know there are only so many hours in a day and add getting work schedules to jive to get the play time in can be daunting. I have watched the three videos several times and learn something new each time. I have shown the videos to a few brand new players, before they had even played a game, and they had a good grasp on basic turn mechanics by the time we were finally able to sit down and play. All that being said, I offer a huge THANKS to both of you for your time, effort and resources on the High Level Play videos.

Godspeed,
Mike

Jayden and I did commentary on our T2 2P game from Nationals, which was the live stream game from that particular round and can be watched on the Three Lions YouTube channel. (I'm not sure if the commentary was ever added, I'll have to ask Jayden if he sent the audio to Travis). I'd be interested in doing games like this, but I have hardly any video editing experience.
