Joiada, Son of Eliashib is making a rescue attempt.

Emeror Otho is put in to defend. (SA - You may discard a N.T. evil enhancement from hand to discard all cards in battle.)

An N.T. evil enhancement is discarded.

Can Zeal for the Lord Interrupt the battle once the evil enhancement is in the discard pile?

Yes, because Otho's ability is the one doing the discarding, not the enhancement. Since Otho is causing your removal (and, subsequently, your loss of the battle), you could interrupt his ability.

Thanks.

Are you going to be able to stay later next Sat for Team play?

Thanks for the explanation.

Should be. I'll have to talk to Sauce and decide what to put in our Noah teams decks.

On a side note, the N.T. Enhancement that was discarded returns to hand.
