Golgotha (Di)
Type: Site • Brigade: White • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Anytime during battle, you may place a skull icon card from hand or discard pile on Golgotha: N.T. characters of that brigade cannot be ignored. Return that card to its previous location at end of turn. • Identifiers: Jew • Verse: Matthew 27:33 • Availability: Disciples booster packs ()
Hey all,
I was looking over this card and it seems you're allowed to only place 1 skull card on golgotha per battle. Is that true?
Daniel
;D
-
by that it's referring to the card on Golgotha
-
The "that" is worded that way to refer specifically to the card placed by the first part of the ability. Anytime literally means anytime, and it also means as many times. Similarly to Gates of Hell, you can use this ability as many times as you want (up to the number of skull-icon cards in your discard pile and hand).

Good question. I'll have to get back to you on this one.

i concur with jsb and brow.

Has the PTB discussed this one and determined it meant 1 card?

It is being discussed. Hopefully we'll have some resolution soon :)

At any time you may place one. So you can place one, and then you can place another one. And another one. And another one. And then a Momentum Change. The second part would be irrelevant to how many you can place on it, since it's basically just clarifying what happens at the end. So +1 Browarod and JSB.

I really hope it's not changed to one. While my main deck doesn't even use Golgotha, it is a fun, high-risk high-reward strategy that doesn't need nerfing.

The issue is that it's a fun strategy in T1, but a brutal strategy in T2, where games between Golgotha recursion specialists would either be SitC lockouts, or consist of various other defenses designed to infinitely recur CBN strategies. So we're trying to figure out the best way to keep each type balanced without ruining fun strategies.

LOL.
Why Watchful Servant, Thaddeus, the NT sites, and King Mannasseh?
-
so you can use golgotha as many times as you want during battle and stack as many ee's on it as you choose?

And then High Places/Ahaz/Threatened Lives :D

Currently, yes. It is under discussion whether or not that needs to change.

Actually, Golgotha needs it to be battle phase or after, and High Places needs it to be prep phase.

False:
High Places (TP)
Type: Fortress • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: During your preparation and discard phases, you may play evil Enhancements that contain the word "place" in the special ability. If you capture a Hero in a territory, discard this card.
-
Haha, oops. I guess I was thinking of my combo, which has to play Threatened Lives in battle...
-
What?
If I am thinking what you are thinking,
Land Purchase + Threatened Lives + HP + King Amon could still work in prep phase, couldn't it?
