Site Guard Lost Soul

Today I was reading an article (http://landofredemption.com/?p=949) on Land of Redemption about how the different lost souls rate, and I noticed that the site guard was one of the top souls. This is a lost soul that I always thought of as not that good, so I was surprised to see that. Why is this. Is there something special you can do with it that I'm not seeing?

You don't have to use it as your initial block, so if you block and your opponent plays a battle-winner, you can add the one from the site and he'll have to have an additional battle-winner to get a Soul.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Thanks! That makes way more sense now. The article also said though that the new Dragon Raid gave it a bump. Why is this?

In order to use it as a battle-extender, the rescuer has to have access to it. Putting the Site Guard in Dragon Raid (the new one being worth a card slot on its own merits) guarantees they will have access.
