Why is everyone building Garden Tomb decks?
-
Because it's OP'd...
-
not at all it's actually very easy to beat
-
Because its new.

for decks with big defense yes. Standalone or suicide? VERY hard
-
That's why you throw John in every deck. :D

I don't know that I would go as far to say that it's easy to beat. Garden Tomb decks, like many other popular decks, capitalize on opponents bad draws. I think a larger more defense-heavy deck is more susceptible to bad draws than small quick decks like TGT.
-
Yeah, GT decks are designed to hammer the current popular Standalone defenses.
However, I tend to build huge single brigade defenses... so I typically have no problem. :D
-
Because they work like a charm... ::)

Why is everyone building Garden Tomb decks?
Because Chuck Norris said so.

They look pretty and do nothing?
-
Lol... I don't know what you're talking about. I haven't seen a single garden tomb deck... ::)
-
I have seen exactly one and pwned it. If you have a single defense, you take away their biggest gun. THere are some nice white enhancements (no need for spices ..etc.) but taking away the ignore ability really hurts TGT
-
If it had a way to get rid of protection fortresses, it would be a lot better. However, as it is...a solid Assyrian defense with Assyrian Camp would utterly thrash TGT. (I know this partially from experience...Caleb. ;))
-
Garden Tomb is the next U&T. :o
-
It sounds like a pretty solid strategy if you use it correctly. How do you get a garden tomb card? Which expansion does it come in? ???
-
It comes in RoA (Rock of Ages) Tin...*lots of scuffling and crashing*...XIX.
-
Is that out yet the only RoA tin I've seen and have is the one with jesus throwing a dove on the front of it.What is the picture on the tin that gaeden comes in? ???

They all have that. Look at the top or bottom of the tin.
-
Isn't it the bottom?
-
I think so, I couldn't remember which it was though.

I mostly like GT because I see fewer of those unoriginal "standalone" defenses that have been around for way too long (I'd say since Wa/Apostles ). Now some people are actually playing w/ defenses. If you have a decent single-color defense GT is not a problem. I hope similar things continue to be done about offense w/ three or more colors.

This was definitely the intent of The Garden Tomb but I don't think the play testers wanted it to be as powerful as it is currently. Even single color defenses have a hard time keeping enough characters out against a good GT deck.

In about four months you won't have to even worry about garden tomb. ;)

I wouldn't say that to players of stand-alone defenses. However, players of certain brigades will have more tools to deal with it, to be sure.
-
Thank goodness, thats all I can say.
-
Yeah... but if you draw the right cards I think even standalone will have a chance.
-
true...
